Located within the heart of the Lake District, Helm View is situated in the secluded tree-lined district of Annisgarth, a short walk from the centre of both Windermere and Bowness and five minutes on foot from the open countryside with views over Windermere and beyond. This modernised Lakeland slate house is a spacious retreat combining tradition with modern facilities and the chance to relax in front of the log fire or on the patio. There are numerous attractions nearby with outdoor activities, sightseeing, shops, restaurants, Lake Windermere and the Beatrix Potter visitor attractions. Ambleside and Hawkshead are within five miles. Shops 1 mile.

The cottage it's self was nice and nice surroundings but some of the cleaning could be questionable. Under the beds and sofa's was quite dirty and dusty. There was things underneath them from previous occupants

Cottage very cosy and spacious.Whilst very clean on all surfaces etc it could do with some updating the sofas a little tired, the outside lights would benefit from being brighter and the main door sticks, All that said we had a great stay. The boot room is so handy and the dog walks on the doorstep were great. The large spacious kitchen dinner onto the living space was fab.we would definitely choose this cottage again.Excellent internet. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Lovely location very peaceful. Windermere and Bowness both within walking distance. The cottage itself is deceptively large and the bedrooms are a good size. One drawback the garden is open to the road although there is not much traffic due to the location but kids are able to wander off. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Lovely property in a convenient location for the hills and Bowness and Windermere. It was bigger than we expected and ideal for 2 small families. Only downside was the slightly damp downstairs bedrooms and bathroom.

A good size cottage with character. Good rooms. Perfect for a family holiday. Lovely location, short walk down the hill to shops, pubs, restaurants & attractions in Bowness/Windermere. Excellant access to the countryside. Local footpaths and The Dales Ways footpath are very close by.

Lovely cottage, bigger than it looks in photos. Beautifully situated with countryside walks on doorstep yet on an attractive residential estate. Bowness within walking distance however, there is a steep uphill walk on way back.
