Fullly Renovated in 2025 - Welcome to Southern Tides at Folly! Whether a returning guest to SC or if this is your first time, we hope you will consider our well appointed home for your visit to the low-country, we promise you will fall in love. While we have a 2+ car garage and added community parking, you will not need the cars if staying on Folly as our front door is one block or 0.3 miles (less than 5 minute walk) to all the restaurants, coffee shops, bars and shopping on Center Street and just another 0.1 miles (2-3 minutes more) to incredible Folly Beach. Whether coming down to Folly Beach or planning to visit historic Charleston (12 miles away) and its many attractions (or both), Southern Tides is the perfect year round place for you to experience all that this incredible area has to offer.

From the kitchen, family room, screened porch, or master bedroom and master bedroom deck, watch the fishing boats coming/going, the sail boats rocking, or paddle boarders as they navigate the beautiful Folly River and marsh wildlife. The home is a 3 bedroom (king, queen, & twin over twin and twin over full bunks) / 3 full bathroom townhouse which sleeps up to 8 comfortably. The home has hardwood floors throughout and is decorated in a cozy beach theme. You will enjoy the water views from the comfortable family room and open concept living, kitchen, and dining area. The kitchen is well appointed with everything you will need to cook or entertain (including a Keurig which we always wish we had when we visit VRBO rentals). Enjoy morning coffee and sunrise or evening on the screened in porch with dining set and seating for 6. We also provide a game basket, pack & play which can be used in lieu of a crib, etc.

There is a also a rear outdoor patio with an outdoor shower to rinse off after a day at the beach. In the garage you will find beach chairs, a cart/dolly, body boards, skim boards, and beach toys for your personal use and enjoyment. We provide 4 beach cruiser type bikes so you can explore the island, or go downtown for a shaved ice, watch a sunset at Mariners Cays, watch the surfers at the Washout, or down to see the Morris Island Lighthouse.

Your stay will also include access to our community swimming pool (Seasonal / which overlooks the marsh and Folly River) as well as the community boat dock. The pool and dock are less than 50-feet from our front door. Have a drink out under the covered dock and watch some of the most amazing sunsets, dolphins swimming up the river, or maybe try your hand at fishing, crabbing or launch your personal kayaks or paddle boards directly off the dock.

Folly Beach (also referred to as "The Edge of America" sits on a small 5-mile long barrier island just a short 15-20 minute drive outside of historic Charleston, SC. Folly is an eclectic surf beach with a laid-back vibe and is great for just a couples getaway, girls retreat, or a family-vacation. It is also known as the the best surf beach in all of SC, while still having a shallow drop off of the sand into the water making it great for the young kids to wade and play. Try you hand at surfing (several surf schools), kite surfing, or just stroll the beach and look for shells. The beach is wide (with exception of king-high tides sometimes) and the sand is soft from the beach all the way into the water. Downtown Folly offers an array of shopping, restaurants, coffee shops, bars, live music venues, etc.
