A very friendly host.
Great location for walking on heath land and the Suffolk coastal path.
Within easy reach of Minsmere and Sutton Hoo.
Thorpeness is a very interesting fantasy coastal resort developed for the wealthy in the early 20th century.
Worth a visit for its architecture alone.

Clean, spacious, in good repair and just as advertised. A very quiet location on the edge of Darsham, a dark skies village, so it was good for star gazing if so inclined.
The owner Mrs Butler was excellent; friendly and helpful particularly as my wife broke a leg within a half hour of arriving and had to be hospitalised for a couple of weeks..
I would be happy to stay here again.

Very clean, spacious Barn offering excellent accommodation. Well fitted out - the kitchen had everything you needed and the bathroom was very spacious with a bath and separate excellent shower. The heating and hot water were all good - we were never cold as you are with some cottages! It was also very private, and we were undisturbed throughout the week. The village was very friendly, with an excellent pub - highly recommend The Fox Inn for dinner and the countryside around was very nice, with easy access on the bikes to Dunwich, Walberswick etc., along good back roads and trails. We had a very nice week and would definitely consider returning at another time.
