Enclosed lawned garden with patio, garden furniture and barbecue. Garage parking for 1 car; additional private parking in driveway. Bike store. No smoking.. Located just 3 miles from the coastline, discerning guests will delight at this charming brick and flint cottage. It stands peacefully within the rural village of West Beckham, with it’s own garden, and offering everyday comforts yet the full of charm and character to provide a warm welcome. Located on one of the many interconnecting national cycle routes with excellent walking direct from the door.
The seaside town of Sheringham is 3 miles, with a sandy beach, headquarters of the North Norfolk Steam Railway, The Reef aqua leisure pool, cliff-top golf course and town centre with shops, cafés, and restaurants. Cromer is 6 miles, for promenade gardens, pier, sandy beach, Amazonia Zoo, and town centre. Discover the pretty Georgian market town of Holt, 4 miles. Explore the RSPB bird and nature reserves close by. National Trust Sheringham Park, Felbrigg and Blicking Halls are within easy reach. Blakeney Quay is just 10 miles away. Holkham Hall and excellent sandy beaches of Holkham and Wells-next-the-Sea are 19 miles. Take a day trip to Norwich for the theatre, cathedral, castle, museum and excellent shopping malls, or the famous Norfolk Broads for riverside restaurants and cafés, daily boat hire and river trips are an hour’s drive. Situated within a hamlet, perfect for a stay whether the cottage is your base to explore from, or a bolt-hole to retreat from whatever you’re retreating from! Well equipped, cosy and warm, ‘quaint’ building with a lot history. We received a courtesy call advising the cottage was available to access an hour ahead of the agreed arrival time, this was appreciated. Also appreciated was the generous and practical welcome pack, which provided some basics for a sarnie and hot drink on arrival, to some ‘luxury’ treats. All to be enjoyed within a potential home-from-home, which was very clean, well house-kept and comfortable for my stay. A holiday-home owner who was easily contacted and works hard to offer a pleasing stay. Happy to leave this review. Thank you.
