About this villa rental
The Purple Parrot is right around the corner from Beautiful Beaches and Johnson Beach National Seashore. Bike or drive a few minutes to the pristine beaches. Off the beaten path, away from big crowds of Orange Beach and Gulf Shores, here you can go shelling, fishing, swimming, hiking and relaxing. The Park has pavilions with tables, bathrooms and outdoor showers. Look up the Johnson National Seashore for all the activities rules and regs. Bring your lunch or dinner and enjoy the gorgeous views of the gulf while sitting under shade! Other outdoor activities include paddle boarding, kayaking, parasailing, boating, fishing and more....abundant on the Key. There are many public access beaches close by too, stop by visitors center for handout information. Rent a pontoon boat from the nearby local marinas and tour the inter coastal waters, bayou's and take a boat ride to Pirates Cove for Lunch. Go to the Holiday Harbors' Sunset Grill for fabulous crab claws and meals. So much to see, do and dine, just minutes from the resort. Fabulous resort style pool, featuring a rock formation waterfall, a walkover hot tub and ample room for sun and swim. A volley ball court is just outside the pool area. Amenities at the Parrot include, an indoor heated pool with sauna, showers, workout room and hot tub. Wonderful Tiki Bar and Grill, with night time entertainment. Serving cold refreshments and light fare! Great for after beach happy hour!
The "Sea Star" Villa is tucked away in the Purple Parrot, island style resort. A wonderful, relaxing home awaits your arrival . Fresh paint and new flooring, inviting updates. Inside you will find comfortable amenities. The kitchen is fully equipped with large pantry, and appliances, including washer/dryer closet. Keurig /regular coffee makers, all utensils, tableware and small appliances necessary for a functional kitchen. Breakfast bar for 2 next to dining area for 6. Spacious family room with flat screen TV, docking station for your IT stuff, High Speed Internet, Cable and DVD Player, sofa bed that sleeps two, swivel chairs and coffee tables. 1/2 bath on first floor for convenience. Master with queen has en suite with soaking tub and separate shower. All bedrooms, queen sized beds with smart tv and ceiling fan.

The house was nice and as described, in a nice quiet corner and we really enjoyed the community amenities, short drive to the beach. We did have an issue with the cleaning company upon arrival but it was resolved quickly. The beds and dryer could used to be upgraded but other than that everything was great.

We absolutely LOVED our stay here!!! The place was just as it was listed- the pictures don’t do justice for how cute it is. Purple Parrot resort was fabulous- the pool, the bar, live music every night, bingo that even the kids could get in on:) food was great- we ate at the pool a few times. So much fun!! Can’t wait to come back!!

The location of the resort is very nice. Close to restaurants and other things. However, we arrived to an unclean house (apparently the cleaning crew had not been told there was a change over that day), and there was no cart in which to haul our luggage so we had to carry everything. Since there is no parking near the house, this is very inconvenient. Miss Patricia did get the cleaning crew there, but since we already had all of our things there, we had to wait until they were done before we could start our vacation. Very disappointing after a 6 hour drive. Miss Patricia did accommodate us fairly for having to delay our vacation.
The air conditioner is programmed to kick up to about 76° at any given point in time so it was very warm in the house. There is a fan that has to be placed at the end of the steps to help cool the bedrooms off so don’t plan on sleeping with your doors closed. Not to mention getting up at night to go down the steps to drop the temperature back down.
At one point in time as Patricia texted me to find out if there were some sort of item in the house that she needed to let another renter know about which I found to be very unprofessional.
