Molly’s Cottage is situated in the village of Glenridding, on one of the main walking routes to Helvellyn. This traditional stone built cottage has very good quality furnishings and every modern appliance to ensure guests comfort. A feature of the cottage is the roof top sunroom the balcony from which there are spectacular panoramic views. The cottage also benefits from a good-sized garden, a pub within 200 yards and 5 minutes walk to Ullswater. There are many lovely walks around Ullswater, including the spectacular Aira Force Waterfall, or the less energetic could take a cruise on the Ullswater steamers and fish on the lake.
Cot hire is available for £10.00. Highchair hire is available for £5.00.

This beautifully kept cottage is in a great location in Glenridding. It is perfect for walking up Helvellyn, or in poor weather, the surrounding hills which give spectacular views of Ullswater. The beds are very comfortable and use high quality linen. The kitchen was well-supplied with pans, storage containers, cooking utensils, dishes and cutlery. Particularly wonderful is the upstairs sitting room with an attached balcony. Glenridding is happily in one of the best places in the UK for seeing the stars; we could see the full-blown core of the Milky Way from the balcony! We walked up the street a few times toward the Helvellyn trailhead, to experience a view of the Milky Way core in full darkness, but it turns out the balcony of Molly’s College was just as good! The cottage also has a washing machine and a folding outdoor clothesdryer. The clothesdryer is right next to a large bush of lavender, which makes the clothing smell great. We highly recommend Molly’s Cottage for a wonderful visit to the Lake District.
