For the more adventurous, why not take to the tree top challenge at Grizedale Forest, or venture along the many paths by foot or by bike. For steam enthusiasts, you can still take to the tracks with a ride on the Lakeside and Haverthwaite trains near Ulverston, or the elegant Victorian Steam Yacht Gondola which sails between March and November on Coniston Water. A lovely place.
A lovely place.
A lovely place. Great for looking at the stars. Two great pubs nearby that serve great food and dog friendly. The booking office was lovely and clean with all essentials. Only drawbacks not fenced in so couldn’t let our dog out without being on a lead and very sharp turn into the drive. Nothing that would stop us from returning.
