Friendly Staff Great View

Everything was good, but a little pricey and not a whole lot of different options for dining. Other than that, we loved it!

The food was delicious but very expensive. The informal, friendly, beautiful setting. The staff was warm and friendly.

The price of dinners was very high, beaches not cleaned daily of plastic and trash, room cleaning service minimal and irregular

the location right on the beach was beautiful. The swings and ceviche bar were really lovely. It looked really beautiful in the restaurant and on the grounds.

Sadly this is all quite negative. Although the grounds were lovely we weren’t impressed with our apartment. It felt really grubby and like it needed a really good deep clean. The bed being in the living room made it difficult. Even if there was a room divider or something it would have made it feel cosier. The bathroom was dirty and towels were stained. There was also a party that went on until 3.00 in the morning which kept us awake. The restaurant was really overpriced and we didn’t have good food while we were there. Also, the pools seemed to be really heavily chlorinated. My kids eyes were so sore every time we used them. overall it felt like things looked good on the surface but actually wasn’t that great. The staff were lovely though.

My room was an upgrade and it was extremely beautiful with a private soaker tub and mini courtyard. It was excellent.

The air unit was a little complicated. I was either freezing or sweating like a lunatic, particularly in the night, as the air unit and head of the bed were on the same wall. Sometimes I just slept at the foot of the bed so I could feel the air. Nothing they could change I imagine, and just a minor thing. The one other thing was there was a mini fridge in the room but no microwave. That would have been handy to rewarm my rice and beans dish I saved from the night before.

We stayed for 2 nights as part of our honeymoon. I’ll get the negative out of the way first, we found it hard to find as The Colonial wasn’t very well sign posted & our booking had a street name that our sat nav couldn’t find. We now know we needed to search for The Lodge at Jaguar Reef that was easy to find. Now for the positives & believe me there are plenty. Once we had found the correct location we walking into the reception area completely blown away by the design of the place, the welcome we received & the service by all staff at check in, I was even that impressed by the ladies restrooms I took a photo, very stylist. We booked The Colonial which is part of a larger complex. The complex as a whole is an incredible place, it’s absolutely beautiful. I cannot fault the staff, they are all so friendly, professional & the most loveliest of people we had the pleasure of meeting. My husband happened to mention we were here on our honeymoon but we certainly did not expect to be upgraded to the honeymoon suite, for this we are forever grateful for this amazing gesture & what can I say, it’s the most beautiful room I’ve ever stayed in. Thank you so much. It was also my 40th birthday while we were there so made full use of the gorgeous bar at the end of the pier & had breakfast & evening meals (food quality was unbelievable). The setting is absolutely stunning, what a beautiful place with the most amazing people. We loved it & wish we had stayed longer xxx

Insoportable música constante, repetida y muy fuerte en los bares . Este hotel no respeta la tranquilidad de sus pasajeros y no valora el silencio para escuchar el sonido del mar y la naturaleza. La música no me permitía conversar en voz normal ni hablar por celular, ni escuchar la música que YO ELIJO. El hotel debería modernizarse y entender que en el año 2025 TODOS podemos escuchar nuestra música preferida en nuestro celular y no tener que soportar lo que un Bartender elige !

eine schöne sehr großzügig angelegte Anlage, wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Meerblick, das war schon nett, es gibt 2 Pools, genug Liegen am Strand, alle Mitarbeiter, ob im Service, Rezeption, Security sind sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit, helfen bei allen Dingen, ob bei Taxi, Transfer …. das Personal ist schon besonders hier
