About this house rental

Amazing recent remodel located in the heart of the Del Mar beach community. The new layout is a perfect fit for families, good hosts or vacationers just looking to kick back and relax. The floor design was created to allow for plenty of open space and seating with small details that amaze.
The large chefs kitchen, which is equipped with top of the line Viking appliances, is open to the dining room as well as the living room creating a large open feel.
From the living room, retractable glass doors open to the outside lounge, outfitted with a free standing outdoor TV, retractable shade, dining table, comfortable seating, and a stone pizza oven.
Wash the sand off in the large outdoor shower alongside a cute Hawaiian style full bathroom.
There is plenty of open space outside for BBQing and games.
The surf shed holds complementary surfboards, boogie boards, towels and 2 beach cruisers along with plenty of beach toys.
At sunset, make a cocktail and take a walk the white sand beach or down to powerhouse park and eat dinner overlooking the beach at Jake's, Poseidon or the beautiful L'Auberge Hotel.

Exceptional beach cottage with superior location, fabulous free parking. Spotless, quiet, exterior bathroom and showers and living area as well as washer and dryer and all beach accoutrements make this the best North County experience I have had in 15 years. Our host was attentive, and helpful.. Could not have been better. Also a great place if you have young kids with equipment that meets their needs.

The general areas of the house are really spacious and the outdoor shower was extremely helpful after a day at the beach. The house was stocked with everything families would want to take to the beach. Would stay again in the future.

This is a great location with a super short, easy/flat walk down to the beach and local great places to eat and drink. Home is updated, modern and cozy. Parking (which at this location is scare) is ample - room for 2 vehicles. The close, Cody offers this place at a fair price in a premium location - especially if you like being close to the waves and a quiet residential area.

We had a great stay at this wonderful home. The location was great with restaurants and shopping within walking distance. The home was clean, comfortable, and well stocked with beach essentials. There were a few minor inconveniences that arose (clothes dryer was not working, we could not adjust the bedroom shades) that we communicated to Cody. He responded promptly but they were things that could not be addressed during our visit. Regardless, we had an excellent stay and would not hesitate to stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay in Del Mar at Cody’s place. The house is lovely and the location is perfect for small kids and families. The house is in need of some love (new pans, appliance fixes, updated linens) and unfortunately we did have an issue with termites. We would gladly stay with Cody again once everything gets fixed up. Home is exactly as described. Well appointed & spacious. Beautiful high-end chef’s kitchen -including great appliances & a large refrigerator, with generous space throughout. Lots of seating for eating - very large table + 4 bar seats at the kitchen counter. Especially enjoyed the private outdoor space with the large TV, lots of seating, & a really beautifully maintained garden. (Even had a lemon & fig tree out there.) Easy walk to the beach. And, if you’ve ever been to the Del Mar beaches in June, you’ll really enjoy having more than adequate parking for 3, possibly 4 cars, in the driveway as parking is at a premium that time of the year there, with the ongoing Del Mar Fair. Easy walk to most restaurants too. And, in addition to restaurants mentioned, would also recommend the Monarch Ocean Pub for dinner -Happy Hour 4-6 - with great outdoor ocean view seating.

This house was perfect. Great location, short walk to town and the ocean. Great restaurants and shopping downtown. the house was spacious and very nicely decorated. Plenty of space for my family. Kitchen had everything we needed. We used the pizza oven, took some practice but great way to spend time with family on the beautiful patio. The host was very responsive and helpful with anything we needed. We will definitely go back.

We loved this property. We’ve stayed in this Neighbourhood before really enjoyed this location and lovely bungalow. The property has everything you need and the owner was helpful at getting us any extras (ie a high chair) Laundry, backyard, pizza oven, big kitchen and living space, and cozy bedrooms. Only improvements could be better rollers for dishwasher, some upgrades linens, and better fry pans. Loved the bikes and beach gear in the shed. Kids had a blast.

2nd time staying at this property; and experience was just as great as the first. Wonderful location with easy beach access, and great walking proximity to local shopping and restaurants. House is well appointed with all of the amenities; including everything for the beach. A great feature is the private parking area for this home. Most important is the easy access, great communication, and positive dealings with the owner, Cody. We look forward to returning again sometime in 2023.

You can't beat this location or the property. It was perfect for what we were wanting---a short, family, beach get-away with everything we need! Location is so close to everything! You can walk to restaurants and shops and a quick walk across the street to the beach. Everything you need for the beach is there for you too!! Sure made it easy and effortless! Kitchen was very spacious and the decor very pretty. The owner was always there to help immediately with any questions---beyond excellent communication. Thank you for a wonderful few days!

This home is lovely, lots of open spaces and use of the outdoors. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is great for preparing meals for a larger group. The location couldn’t be better, a couple of blocks to the beach. I met two other friends there and spent a week visiting, cooking, strolling along the beach and swimming. We all were thrilled with the home and Cody was extremely helpful and generous in working with our schedule. I will definitely be going back again and suggest you give it a try. Five stars all the way.

We loved staying here. The house is really comfortable with one big living/entry/dining/kitchen space and 3 small bedrooms. Beds were comfortable. Outdoor spaces are amazing (outdoor shower was a plus). Location is perfect. Very short walk to beach and just a 1/2 mile up the hill to great coffee and several shops/restaurants. We hope to go back!

Lovely place for a beach stay. Tastefully renovated, great layout with large living, dining room and kitchen contiguous to one another, and the outdoor amenities as well. Very close to the beach and a short walk and drive from all of the restaurants etc. in both Del Mar and Solana Beach. Really couldn't ask for more. And Cody as host was very responsive and accommodating. Would come back again and recommend to anyone

This was perfect for extended family as its close to beach, other family staying in area, and Powerhouse. We had large kitchen, dining, and both inside and outside living room areas with TV's. Wood-fired pizza oven was great also. Lots of beach toys, even bikes. washer and dryer were appreciated too. Plenty of private parking was great also.

This is our 2nd different VRBO stay in Del Mar. for the Thanksgiving holiday we selected this beach home because of it’s walking location to the beach & downtown, the homes layout was perfect for a family gathering, it’s outdoor entertaining area (which included an authentic wood burning pizza oven), and the designated multiple parking spaces. The hosts were easily accessible, and wonderful to work with. Would highly recommend this place, and will likely return ourselves.
