Location was superb for walking the via francigena. As right it is in the centre of the old town which made finding it and also getting back on the via the following day very easy Marco our host met us and spent time showing us around the apartment and left some local biscuits for us to enjoy- a lovely touch The apartment is superb - large and beautifully furnished and the private terrace was a welcome bonus I would highly recommend this apartment

Exceptional

This is a most beautiful, large and well-decorated apartment. It is likely the favorite place we stayed during approximately 50 days of traveling in Italy. It may be a small amount more costly than some other B&B''s, hotels or apartments. However, you will not find one-bedroom apartment with such, a well-equipped, modern kitchen, sizable bedroom, and very nice bathroom anywhere in Italy. Marco was also available to help us enter the apartment within 5 minutes of us contacting him. He was a most gracious host. I would highly reccomend a stay at Rifugio del Cavaliere.

This is a stunning and spacious 5 star apartment. Beautifully and tastefully furnished. The host was extremely helpful, friendly and welcoming. It is a pity we were only staying one night. I can only score a 10 but it deserves more. It is one of those exceptional rare finds.

A touch of class

We were walking the Via Francegina and our stay in Il Refugio del Cavaliere was top rate. The apartment is very tastefully fitted out and it was such a treat to stay there. There was so much room and a stylish spacious living room to relax in, a terrace, and pristine cooking facilities. Marco met us when we arrived, we didn't have to wait around, and he was very helpful in explaining the facilities etc.

For those not walking the Via Francegina, the town of Vetralla itself, may not have a lot to offer, but it could be a good base for viewing the overall area. We were certainly delighted to have such a classy place to rest up in.

Spacious, beautiful and well-equipped apartment with a huge terrace. Highly recommended.

This is easily one of the best properties we’ve stayed at during our seven weeks in Italy. The apartment is spacious, with a full kitchen with four burner gas stove, full size fridge, dishwasher, microwave, cooking utensils, cutlery and serving dishes. There is a separate living room with a very comfortable sofa, and a beautiful antique secretary desk (just one of many antiques in the apartment). The living room opens out onto a huge, sun drenched terrace with a table and four chairs. The bedroom is big enough to encompass a very comfortable king size bed and a massive, magnificent antique armoire. The bathroom is as roomy as the rest of the apartment, the shower has plenty of hot water and good, consistent pressure. Towels are new and fluffy - a real treat. There are many well located outlets (including by the bed) to charge devices. Wifi is stable and strong, and the apartment is well located in relation to good cafes and restaurants. Finally, Marco (the host) was quick to respond to messages, and accommodated our request for an early check-in. We highly recommend this property.

Exceptional

The location is perfect. My wife and I are walking the Via Fancigena and the apartment is located in perfectly. There is also an excellent coffee shop downstairs. Now, this host is great. Although he requires at least a 24 hour reservation, I made the reservation when I arrived to town. Within 20 minutes he has the place ready for us.
