Beachology is a Kelly Sturges design beach cottage with huge porches to sip your sweet tea and watch your kids play basketball, tennis or run on the green at the Bellview park. The heated pool is right next to the park and the breathtaking sugar sand beach of the famous Emerald Coast is just steps away. There is a large wrap porch in front, a covered balcony porch upstairs, a large screened in porch in back boasting a large flat screen tv and a covered patio featuring a gas grill. There is also an outdoor shower to wash off the sand after a glorious day at the beach. There are 2 master bedrooms, one upstairs with a king bed, the other downstairs with a queen, both with ensuite bathrooms. One bedroom with 2 twin beds and access to full bathroom, and a separate 4-twin bunkroom. There is also a queen sleeper sofa in the living room and a daybed in the reading room upstairs so beachology can sleep 13. The living room, master bedrooms, twin room and screened porch all have flat screen TVs and are beautifully decorated to be comfortable but luxurious. The kitchen is fully loaded with stainless steel appliances. There is a large dining room and a breakfast bar for the kids. Wi-Fi, cable, full size washer and dryer in laundry room and gas fireplace.

This is a great beach cottage big enough for 2 families.
Carillon is a private, gated and security guarded community west of Panama City Beach and just east of 30A. Publix and CVS are right across from Carillon. Pier Park, movies, mall, Gulf World just east of Carillon, 30A shopping and sight seeing is just west. There are no roads to cross to get to the beach at Carillon and the beach itself is wide and uncrowded. There is a quaint coastal church that holds Sunday services and the most beautiful weddings. During high season there are outdoor movies, music and fun on the green. The bells of the Carillon play throughout the day from the center of the village adding a beautiful melody to your vacation.

The layout of this home is perfect for family dinners and evenings gathered on the porch. Amazing decor and modern bathrooms. Kitchen range faces living room which we love so everyone feels together. There was only a Keurig and we all drink coffee so we bought a coffee pot and donated it (maybe there was one at one time as there were filters) and no can opener so purchased that too. Back porch is amazing also with outdoor shower and grill. We had a perfect week at the beach! and the home is right across from the pool and close to tennis and pickle ball courts. We also loved the reserved Beachology chairs on the beach. Highly recommend this home!

Carillon Beach is one of our favorite places to visit! We have stayed in several houses in this beautiful community. Beacholgy is the perfect location for anyone traveling with littles, kids, or teens. It is directly across the street from the pool, playground, and basketball court. A very short stroll takes you right to the tennis and pickle ball courts. The teens just wished they had lights at the pickle ball court. You can take the Promenade and it’s a straight shot for breakfast, lunch, dinner, ice cream or coffee. The beach is maybe a 3-5 minute walk and just a minute or so by bicycle. The kids enjoyed riding the bikes to the beach because you can park bikes, but only unload a golf cart.
Beachology was perfect for our crew, made up mostly of teenagers. The beds were super soft and comfortable! We enjoyed relaxing on the beautiful porches at night!
The homeowner responded promptly to all questions and concerns. We would definitely consider staying at this property again!

The good part....Great house, decor, layout, etc. Excellent front porch for hanging out. Perfect location for us, across from the pool, the basketball court, the green.
Honestly, we had the best vaca ever. Kids played pick up basketball at night, met some great people.
The not so good part...which did not prevent us having a great week...but want to make others aware....especially if you are accustomed to an excellent rental. We have been renting for years at Carillon, and this was the least favorable house to date. Only because it needs some maintenance. The outside of the home needs pressure washing bad. The front porch, where we were a good bit, was very dirty, window frames and doors...just need to be cleaned. The furniture on porch was nice furniture but dirty and stained and a couple of the seat cushions so worn that you feel the metal frame beneath you. The back porch was not even usable. And honestly it was one of the reasons we booked this particular home. It would have been a great spot for all the kids to hang out and watch TV. However the TV did not work, the screen on the door was ripped off and hanging...and the porch was very dirty and the kids did not want to even use it.
I did call Helen, the property Manager and reported it and was toldthey would get it repaired but no one ever came. The ice maker was frosting over to the point it was hard to open and close freezer. It did not stopthe ice maker from making ice so we were ok, however I reported it.
The inside of the home was very clean except the white slipcovered sofa and chair in great room definately needs washing or replacing. Dirty and stained looking. Overall none of this prevented us from a great week but we were disappointed in the upkeep of the house. The yard space had old flower pots with dead plants strew about,etc. Just not well kept outside. I did let the owners know after I returned and they were appreciative of the info I provided so I trust that they will take care of these issues and I would consider renting this home again if so. It was a good stroll to the beach however, especially carrying a load. But we loved the location to the pool and BB courts.
