About this house rental
Bring the whole family to the beach! Looking for a large home to get the whole family together? Are you ready to book your vacation? This old-fashioned beachfront home will be perfect for you in any season. Please note that the minimum age to rent this cottage is 40. Please contact owner if you are a younger family. Up to 2 of your well-behaved dogs are welcome with an additional pet fee.
This lovely oceanfront cottage has undergone a major renovation. Built in the 1930's, it retains all of its original charm, while modern updates bring it into the 21st century. A new HVAC system will keep you cool in the summer and warm in the winter. The all new kitchen is filled with stainless steel appliances and a wine fridge. The cottage has 2 bedrooms downstairs, and 4 more large bedrooms upstairs. Linens are not provided but a linen service can be recommended. The downstairs bathroom has retained its antique clawfoot tub with shower, while the upstairs bathroom has a new shower. The living room has a well maintained piano for those who play. This antiques-filled home has plenty of comfortable porches for relaxing and an oceanfront deck to catch some sun. Beach access is down the driveway and out to the street, so no one will be walking through the property from the beach. We have off-street parking for 4 cars. This rental is suitable for extended families, or families vacationing together. We are LGBTQ friendly. It is a quiet rental NOT suitable for young singles. We do not rent to students or recent graduates. We do not rent to groups of singles (with exceptions for those age 50+). We have zero tolerance for partiers.

My only regret was not inviting more people to enjoy this comfy beach house with us. It’s a great house for a family reunion because it has so many areas where small groups can break away and gather to sit and visit. I spent most of the time on the deck enjoying the ocean view and breeze and sound of the waves. The 10 deck chairs sit up high and are comfy. I loved doing morning coffee on the deck and there are umbrellas for the deck tables so you can enjoy breakfast and lunch in shade. The dune obscures a full view of the beach itself from the main level but you can see the beach and surf from the two oceanfront bedrooms upstairs. And the walk to the beach is short and pleasant under pine trees. The beds were real comfortable and we loved the vintage furniture that reminded us of our grandparents’ beach cottage. The house was clean and the kitchen has all the dishes and tools you need. The air conditioner works like a champ but we hardly needed it with the breeze. Our host, Valerie, was friendly and easy to reach and very helpful. Our dog had a great time too.

It was a wonderful rental. Easy check-in, great accommodations, the kitchen had everything you would ever need and the location was super! Having our dog with us was a definite bonus! Thank you so much!!

A half way meeting spot for friends weekend with dogs. Great location. Great beach The house furnishings are some what outdated and tired. The floors and surfaces were a bit grimy and dusty . The house rooms were dark . Surfaces were cluttered . Bedding and mattresses were worn. The house needs a deep clean and windows cleaned
The hostess was very responsive and was very receptive and accomodating
