The proximity to Waikiki was great while not being in the center of the overcrowded areas.

The apartment was ready for early check-in; the procedure as easy; the view from the room was rather nice; the building stands in green surroundings and has a lovely pool; the parking tower is separate rather than on the lower floors of the residential tower - which we liked; the kitchen is well-equipped; the washing machine/dryer is in the room; ventilation is good and one can sleep with the windows open without air-conditioning. All this and in a most convenient location - good for both Ala Moana area and Waikiki proper. One thing - families with toddlers would need to be careful of the bedroom windows. Otherwise a really good base for a longer trip to Honolulu.

This condo could hardly be described as “high end with the finest appointments”. The furniture is worn and tattered and the carpet has multiple stains throughout the condo. A kitchen cabinet door fell off. The cushions on the lanai chair cushion are covered with mildew, with the wicker chair falling apart. A significant amount of rust was found inside the freezer and on the shower heads. When moving in it was obvious only superficial cleaning was done; dirty tissues and other debris were found behind the bed and couch. Sheets had holes in them. And there were numerous maintenance issues during my stay. The on-site manager offered me $12/d discount on my 2-month stay yet 20 days after my departure I still haven’t received a check.
