Where to begin...we came to Newport Beach because my husband was having back surgery. From the very first interaction, our host, Ray (Cordano), was incredibly responsive, helpful, and pleasant to work with - especially as we had some unexpected hiccups with the surgery scheduling. We had very specific needs due to my husband's limitations after surgery, and I'm so thankful for the heads-up that Ray gave me about calling the resort two weeks prior to our stay to request certain accommodations (e.g., not all of the buildings on the resort have elevators). The staff at the resort was exceptional as well and made sure we got a unit that did not require an elevator or steps AND had a nice view of the ocean since my husband was going to be stuck in the villa pretty much the entire trip. Our unit as beautiful, clean, and stocked with plenty of linens and kitchen supplies. The spa was heavenly, the workout facility spectacular, and the resort itself was conveniently close to a grocery store, pharmacy, and a quick drive to major malls and excellent dining establishments. Everyone at the resort was incredibly friendly and helpful and I would HIGHLY recommend Ray and Marriott Newport Coastal Villas! We will definitely work with Ray again and enjoy another stay here!

We stayed at a location with which we were familiar--Marriott Newport Coast Villas. It fully met expectations. The owner was very helpful in make the stay successful as this was my first VRBO stay and it involved adding weeks to a stay I had booked using my own ownership interest. Good communication with the owner was critical and made things go smoothly.

This was our 8th year at the property. It was easy to book through the host. We love the amenities (especially when our kids were little), beauty, cleanliness and the location - between Laguna Beach and Newport Beach, plus it's only a short walk to the trails in beautiful Crystal Cove State Park. The resort provides a shuttle to Crystal Cove Beach, but it is also just a short drive to other beaches. Guests receive a discount to play golf at the beautiful Pelican Hill golf courses. The villa has everything our little family needs - two bedrooms, two bathrooms (plus two sofa beds) and a full kitchen. A couple of nitpicks: 1) Primary Suite. There is no separation between the primary bedroom and bathroom which, even with the refurbishment, was not corrected. I am not sure why Marriott thinks people want that. 2) Pools. I do wish they had an adult's only pool and would enforce the age restriction on hot tubs (babies in hot tubs - ick). Other than that, it's just such a beautiful, well-kept property in a convenient location. It's really hard to beat for the area! We absolutely love it!

We enjoyed our holiday at the Marriott Villas. The kids loved the pools, koi pond and activities. The condo was spacious and comfortable. Ray was great, though you have to deal directly with the resort for pretty much everything, including the exact unit you will receive. It would have been nice to have a better view - I called 3 weeks in advance to request a nice view. We ended up overlooking trees and a partial view of the golf course. The front desk also could be a bit better in communicating the various amenities…it took us until the day before our last day to find the kid pool with the slides. We also learned toward the end of our trip that we could have called for golf cart service to take us around the resort rather than fight for parking. All said, however, beautiful resort, and we had a lovely time.

We go to California every summer and usually stay in Huntington Beach at the Hyatt or Hilton. However, from now on we will stay here instead. It was great having a condo with full kitchen and two bedrooms and my children LOVED the amenities. There is a children's pool with a water play area, playfround, ping pong, tetherball, basketball, etc. Also, instead of being forced to pay $40/night to park your car, there is free parking near your unit. We found it easiest to go to Corona del Mar for the beach which was just 5 minutes away, and had ample parking, a bathroom, food, and wasn't overly crowded.

This is a nice property. It has resort features such as a pool, hot tubs, restaurants, shuttle to beach, etc. Your unit is stocked with supplies, even washing machine detergent. You can do almost anything you can do at home, even a grilling area. Ray responds promptly and answers any questions you might have.

This property is absolutely stunning and was perfect for our family of four. Even with things being a little different due to Covid, and many of the on site activities being closed we had the best week and were never bored. The pools were heated and beautiful and the villa was a peaceful place to come back to every day after our beach adventures. Ray had great communication with us too. I would absolutely recommend coming here!

We couldn’t have been happier with our stay at the Marriott Villas Newport Coast! We traveled with two other families. Marriott coordinated so we could all be in the same building which was great. The development is gorgeous and sizable. It was perfectly situated to get into towns, take hikes, get to the beach or get into LA. We would come back again - and would rent through Ray again. He was helpful and accommodating throughout our process - so important when coordinating a large group like ours.

Ray was a big help as we had some issues at checkout but he called the resort and took care of the issue. Thanks Ray! The resort is clean, has a lot of activities in it , in addition to the beautiful view! Just keep in mind that you will not get a direct view of the sea unless you ask the owner to make a request for that three weeks prior to your stay. We had some troubles during our stay as some people knocked at our door and left us dirty massages, but the security officer was so cooperative and helped us to change the room. It was a good stay overall and I recommend it for people who are looking for a relaxing time with a sea view

We really enjoyed our stay at this resort. The room was clean, had everything you needed to cook a quick meal, up to date, and the property is centrally located in Newport. It is close to the beach and access to PCH. I would definitely stay there again. The amenities are great - 3 pool locations, pool bar and food if you don’t want to cook and hang out by the pool.
