Sea Quest - Oregon Beach Vacations

Sea Quest is a newly constructed two story home located within walking distance of public beach access adjacent to the Olivia Beach neighborhood in SW Lincoln City. With four bedrooms and two and a half baths, this vacation home will comfortably sleep up to ten guests. This beautiful home is full of seashells, fish, and other nautical decorations in a pleasing blue and white color scheme. It even has a "kid cove" where only kids are allowed to hang out and have fun while the parents relax and unwind. With a separate family room and garage, this home has plenty of space for everyone. The front porch seating area is comfortable and inviting on those warm and sunny Oregon coast days. A washer and dryer are available for guest use at this home if you'd like to wash the swimsuits or do your laundry before heading home. The spacious kitchen comes with everything you need to cook up a favorite family meal, and extra seating is available at the counter with bar stool chairs. The location was nice because it was near the beach. It was also easy to access the beach. However, the house was not clean. The floors were filthy, which we noticed because our feet and socks were really dirty after walking on the floor. The dining room table was sticky in the side, so we had to clean it before using it. Also the blinds and ceiling fan were coated with dust. The parking is really tight too and made it difficult for two SUVs to back out of. The cookware was also limited and poor quality. My parents slept on one of the beds upstairs and ended up moving downstairs because it had a cover on it that crinkled and made a lot of noise every time they moved

The house is very charming and we enjoyed staying there. However, the back deck railing is broken and we warned the children to stay away or they would tumble over. Also a paper plate of cigarette butts was also on the deck; the tv didn't work even though a man came and spent some time working with the wires. The first night the power in two bedrooms was off, which was fixed the following day. Also, with 3 families and only 1 set of house keys, the door was left unlocked during the day. I think that if the electrician can fix the wires, there would be few complaints. Thank you.

Overall it was pleasant. Wished the ad had explained the flag lot and driveway issues but thankfully we only had 2 cars as the neighbors made it very clear of a line we were not allowed to cross. Neighbors startled us the first morning by walking between our cars and around the house to go surfing despite all of the no trespassing signs.

We loved that there was a bedroom on the main floor for our elderly mom. The mildew needs to be cleaned out of the windows. We also loved that everyone had a bed to sleep in . Thank you

This was a nice house plenty of room. The parking was horrible if you park to far back the neighbor comes out and lets you know. For a house that wiil accommodate that many people the parking is bad. Two of the bedrooms had no power. We checked the breakers and couldn't get it to stay on. We made it without power for the long weekend but this need to get fixed. Other guest wrote in the guest book about the power issues months ago.very nice house in a quiet neighborhood.

We had a wonderful girl’s weekend at this property. It was better in person than in pictures. There were 5 of us and there were 5 separate rooms so it was perfect. The walk to the beach was easy and we were close to downtown Lincoln City and neighboring towns. The house was comfortable and we felt at home. We loved it!

It's kinda hard to find as it's on a flag lot. There's a house in front and a longer driveway back to the house. Parking is a little interesting if you've got multiple vehicles. The nice thing about this is that there is no backyard neighbor and it's very calm and peaceful. The house is clean and the beds are comfortable. Was perfect for what we needed.

We enjoyed our time at this rental. The only negative was the parking. It is a long driveway and hard to back out. There is no ocean view and the front view is of the house in front. The back view is of some trees and a road.

This property was adequate for our extended family. However, we were disappointed that upon arrival one sink was clogged, disposal not working, shortage of dish washer pods, paper towels, and soap. It had just an "okay" selection of kitchenware. Certainly could use some painting.

The landscape of property was hideous to say the least! No garbage can to rid the house of garbage. We had to take our garbage to the beach & use their garbage cans. There were HUGE carpenter ants on the front porch to the point we're we couldn't sit outside, BBQ, or the kids play. The televisions kept cutting themselves off in the middle of shows being watched, we bought a bulb for back patio area so we could grill food & the light fixture was corroded inside so it wouldn't take a bulb, spider webs were EVERYWHERE! Killing insects in the house (months, spiders) that were bitting us up! The front & back porch furniture was filthy as well as the porches themselves. We checked out a day early as maintenance was unable to resolve any issues when they came out. It was my birthday weekend totally ruined! I'm so disappointed. This property needs immediate attention before renting to others! I expect a refund in full.

Great layout for large groups

This is our 2nd time renting the Seaquest home and it works great for our entire family. It’s in a perfect location, in the middle of town. The only complaints we had is, the beds need replaced and they do need to leave more supplies such as laundry detergent and dishwasher pods. For larger groups that stay there and cook meals, it’s just not enough. Other than that, we had a wonderful stay!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family, friends and I stayed at the Seaquest House for 3 nights at the end of November 2021. Our stay was enjoyable and the house was clean. When we arrived at the house, the lockbox code that was emailed to us prior to our visit did not work. 2 phone calls to OBV resolved this issue. There was no garbage can at the property and the garbage disposal unit did not work. 2 calls did not resolve these issues. More dish soap and dishwasher pods on hand would be better as well.

Nice to find a house that takes dogs, however the house was dirty with stained carpets upstairs. Walls appeared dirty and needed painting. No cleaning supplies, no amenities like Kleenex and kitchen was sparsely supplied. No manual on how to use the remotes for any of the TVs upstairs or down. Driveway was extremely narrow and should be better presented in the description. Despite allowing dogs, we will avoid in the future.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was the first time my family and I have gotten away since my children have been adults and also with my grandchildren. The place was spacious enough for 5 adults and 2 toddlers and we had an amazing time! It could have been a bit cleaner, especially since we're still dealing with Covid. The kid's area had food all over the carpet and I did vacuum before letting the kids play so after that I just did a quick cleaning of the surfaces, just in case. Besides that, the property itself is well maintained and I liked that it was within walking distance of the beach access.

Reviewer Comments: This house is situated behind another house and access is a long narrow driveway, no room to turn our truck around if you drive down to the house. Unfortunately the visitors before us must have had a significant stay or party, since there were still remnants of their stay when we arrived..popcorn in the carpets, water bottles under the sleeping mat in the bonus room and the interior stairway handrails were filthy and sticky. The kitchen was lacking enough dishes and cups for a family dinner and random things in the house (made it appear that it was garage sale leftovers just stored rhyme or reason) The fridge door's shelves were all missing so it made storing food a bit difficult in the small fridge. We did appreciate the dishwasher and laundry pods left by management. There was no fire pit as the ad says (although there was a fire ban, so maybe thats why it was gone?) Back deck furniture is rotting and deck was pretty filthy, so we did not spend the quiet time as we were hoping on the wooded side of the house.

We have stayed at the Sea Quest twice now and the location is perfect. Short, 5 minute walk to a huge beach with awesome tide pools. The house itself needs cosmetic work/upkeep. Some of the windows down have screens. The patio furniture is old and worn. Our biggest complaint is that both times we’ve arrived to the outside trash can full with trash days having just passed so having no where to put trash the whole week. Overall, the location is worth all the shortfalls of the house and we would stay again in a heartbeat!

The rugs need a good cleaning, and housekeeping needs to vacuum better. This was the second time we have stayed in this home. It is conveniently located. The doors on the master bath go off track if they aren’t placed right, and water pressure in both baths is off. There was a large rug hanging off the print porch rail, that we reported to management but no one came to get it. Overall pretty good, really needs a good deep cleaning.

In October when we visited the house was not very clean (the floors, bathrooms, bedding, etc.) so we almost didn't select OBV or Sea Quest again - but the location is so good and the size is perfect for our family, so we decided to try again and I am REALLY glad we did.

This time the cleaning crew did a fabulous job. Other than the faint lingering fish smell in the fridge (which went away after a couple of days) the home looked and smelled clean. The only issue we had is the outside garbage was overflowing and gross. It smelled like fish and had wasps buzzing around it. I called someone at OBV to please come and empty it, but no one came. We had nowhere to place our garbage so we stuck it in bags outside - thankfully for the next people after us - it was garbage day the day we left.

The furniture and everything are nice. We love the decor and having access to a washer and dryer. The gaming system upstairs is very dated and didn't work last time we were there - but the kids didn't really need to be playing on that anyway.

Overall, our stay was lovely and we really like the home. We will definitely stay there again and hope that OBV will empty the garbage before people come and that the home will be nice and clean inside because it really does give a better presentation of the home and make for a much more comfortable stay.

We loved the location very private and quiet, the home is newer and a very nice floor plan for groups. The kids closet was a hit with kids. Nice beds kitchen was well stocked. Bath rooms and kitchen were clean. The carpets were soiled and stained we wouldn't let the kids sit on the carpets. I suggest Stanely steamer come in and clean carpets or remove them and put in hardwood. Dirt in couch under cushions and under couch also under dining room throw rugs. Holes in walls due to missing door stops. Lots of scratches and nicks, refrigerator opens into the glass back door be careful a stop should be installed there. Nice newer propane BBQ was clean, back deck hasn't been cleaned in a while back gutters had grass and trees growing out of them. Deck was nice and private could hear the ocean. Grass along driveway and around where you park had not been mowed at all this year. It was the hot when we were there but the windows don't have screens bugs come in if you open the windows. Bring your own small cooler and beach chairs, umbrella also a wagon none at the rental. Its a little walk to the beach and not much parking. Nice local beach accesses with shower and feet wash restroom. We enjoyed our stay it was nice but could have been fantastic had the home been maintained better. I took pic's of all damage to avoid being charged for something we didn't do but I wasn't charged for anything thank goodness.

I had to contact the management firm the morning of our arrival for check in information. I had not received the email and it was not found in my spam folder but they did send it to me promptly upon request.Our party arrived a few minutes early to find the drive blocked by a vehicle. I walked down the drive and rang the answer. Tried the bell one more time because I heard movement in the house. Loud noise came from inside so I looked through the door to see a woman slamming chairs against the dining table and then she started a vacuum. With no alternative we drove down to the beach approach about 3-4 blocks away and called the rental company. The gal that answered seemed very unconcerned and told us to check back at the house in 30-60 minutes and "she will most likely be done then". She led me to believe this was a fairly standard routine. While on the phone she said the cleaning person had just checked out as being finished. We went to the house to find the main carpet covered with debris, dirty sock under the couch, used coffee cup under one of the beds...not very clean in our minds. We wiped down the counters ourselves because we were not convinced the rush cleaning job was done well. We were only supplied with 4 dishwasher pods for 5 days for a group of 9 people. There were 3 laundry pods that we didn't use. Needless to say we left the house much cleaner than we found it. At least there was ample room for all of us, even though everyone had sore backs from the poor mattresses. This could have been such a nice place...
