About this house rental

Maggie's Seaside Getaway is a great place to stay whether you like to kick back and watch the Pacific or walk it s beautiful beach. This home is comfortably furnished and new on the market. There are 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, 2 fireplaces (one in the living room and one in the master bedroom) and a full deck across the front of the house. The living room, dining room, 2nd bedroom and master bedroom all have private doors out to the deck. There is a King bed in the primary bedroom and Queen beds in the other two bedrooms. Beach access is approximately 100 yards away. Wi-Fi internet access and expanded cable television with ESPN.

I sent a note and they were on it immediately. I appreciated the promptness and the follow up.The house had everything you need to spend a few days, kitchen had needed supplies and bedrooms and living space were very comfortable.We would definitely stay here again.

We wished we could have stayed longer! We were comfortable and had lots of room to spread out. Loved the view of the ocean and the ease of accessibility to the beach as well as to town. The only negative was the fact that we booked what we thought would be bunk beds + 1 bed with room for three so that the three young adults in the group could have a "slumber party," but upon arrival discovered only one bed in the room and one of the party had to sleep alone on the foldout couch in the living area.

We had a wonderful stay at Maggie’s and hope to return for another stay. Home was clean and has lots of natural light. The beds were comfortable and plenty of linens available. Accommodations, location, and cleanliness of the property were wonderful for an Oregon Coast experience. For our stay, we may have interrupted the completion of house keeping, I am not sure. There were paper towels and cleaning product left behind and a strong odor and residue that appeared needing to be wiped from the counters and floor. I have no issue doing a pre-unpack clean up with counters, dishwasher, and vacuum. Again, it may have been in progress. I would rent again.

We really loved this house. It had plenty of room for my kids, mother and myself. The beds were comfortable. I really liked that each of the front rooms had doors to the deck. The kitchen had everything we needed, just had to grab a few more things like trash bags and tissues. The weather wasn't great most of the days we were there so it kept us from really experiencing some things we wanted to but we made do. The view from the deck was nice in between the two houses in front. I finally was able to sit out there and drink my coffee the last two mornings. The short walk to the beach was about 10 mins. It took us a little bit of time to figure out the heating zones and the different thermostats. The sheets on the bed in the master bedroom kept coming up off the corners at the top so that had to be fixed every morning, which was a little annoying but didn't detract from the overall experience. We had no problems with any of the appliances and having the washer and dryer was great because we got wet a lot with the rain. Overall, I would definitely stay here again, maybe when the weather isn't so rainy!

This was our first foray to the coast since moving here in 2020 due to Covid-19 and other encumbrances. We were looking forward to a long-awaited getaway. Maggies place fit the bill! Located just south of Bandon it provided sufficient room for four adults to seek solace and to fellowship as desired. It is remote enough to allow quiet meditation strolling along the beach yet easy access to the many eating opportunities in Bandon. We took full advantage of both. The home is well appointed, clean with plenty of places to sprawl. We enjoyed every moment and appreciated the opportunity to share this wonderful home.

Pros: the house is located in a quiet neighborhood only a 5-minute walk to beach, which is very convenient if you have kids. The gas fireplace emits a lot of heat and makes the living room super cozy. The well-provisioned kitchen is perfect for families who want to cook, although there is no pantry to store your food. (I believe they turned it into a game/linen closet). The home was very clean with strong water pressure, and we enjoyed our week-long stay. Sam the property manager was incredibly responsive and helpful. The peekaboo view from the deck to the ocean provided some pretty sunsets! The sounds of the birds and ocean waves at night were a perfect way to end each day. Cons: I didn’t find this particular beach as interesting as the larger beaches (Face Rock, Coquille Point) that have lots of marine life at low tide. It’s also within the tsunami hazard zone. There is a skylight in the master that prohibited us from sleeping late as the room gets very bright. (There are blinds on all the windows and doors, but no additional drapery to block out light if you’re a sensitive sleeper.) The master bed was incredibly soft, with a squishy foam mattress which hurt my back. I also found the banquette seating around the dining table uncomfortable. The neighbor behind the home is currently doing heavy landscaping and construction noise was evident for a couple days as the machines were only within 30 feet of the home. Luckily they were not working over the Memorial Day holiday weekend, but I’m not sure if they will return this week for the next guests.

We had a great time: beach access is only a short walk. The place was very clean. Beds were okay: the master bedroom mattress was extremely soft (I guess there's such a thing as too soft!) caused some back pain after a few nights. Sam was very responsive and the place had what we needed. Main complaint / flag is for anyone looking to cook, especially using the oven, there was a terrible gas-like smell that was super strong every time we turned it on. They sent a guy over to check it out (as I thought it might be a gas leak) but all he did was assure us it wasn't a gas leak... this made us feel a bit better but it still smelled awful and toxic. Pretty big bummer as we had planned to cook a lot. I hope they fix this issue for future guests!

Loved the quiet neighborhood within walking distance to beach path. The house was very nice with a few exceptions. The living room furniture is very old and needs an update. The dining chairs are very very heavy and almost impossible to move about. And the key safe is very difficult to access. Lovely beach and sea stacks.
