Waterfront home with a hot tub and views of Spieden Island. Sunrise and Sunset House. Your quiet home away from home, located just one mile northeast of Roche Harbor village, is waiting! The perfect spot to escape from the mainland, away from traffic noise and crowds and ease into 'island time'.

1 dog per reservation. The dog is not to be left unattended. If a dog is left unattended and a neighbor calls to complain, renter will be charged a $200 fee. House trained. Weight must be less than 60 lbs. No pets on furniture. The renter assumes responsibility for all extra cleaning needed such as emergency carpet cleaning, furniture replacement, and or emergency laundromat use for bulky items like comforters and pillows. The dog must be house trained and on-leash while outside.

This home is comfortably appointed throughout. The kitchen has been stocked with ample cookware! The entertainment has also undergone an upgrade and now offers DISH for PAC-12 network and local channels.

This home is perfect for a quiet and relaxing family getaway (not suitable for parties or large gatherings as it is located in a quiet neighborhood)

The house sleeps 8 comfortably, with two large living areas. There is a fully equipped kitchen with separate dining room, three bedrooms, and three bathrooms. The upstairs of the home offers a large bedroom, but is split to allow privacy between the 3 twin beds on one end and the Queen bed on the other. Television and internet via satellite. The entire back of the house faces Spieden Channel and there is a wraparound deck complete with a hot tub that can accommodate six.

All you need to bring is your clothes and your food - everything else is at the house: linens, cookware, utensils, towels, etc.

Bird watching will result in seeing bald eagles, Oregon juncos, American crows, gold finch, northern flickers and a variety of seagulls.

Deer drop by often on the property and there have been many sightings of otters, Dall's porpoises, harbor seals, and yes, sometimes the resident orcas pay us a visit.

Our home is only 12 miles from Friday Harbor, where the ferry lands. There are plenty of opportunities on San Juan Island to visit historic landmarks, go shopping, stroll around museums, attend a live theater performance, listen to music, hike grasslands or mountains, go fishing in fresh water or salt, walk on a beach, ride a horse, participate in a zip line, attend a farmers' market, learn about the island, explore thrift stores, lose yourself in a bookstore, chat with the friendly locals, sail into the sunset, eat like royalty, commune with nature, and sleep like a baby.

**There is a mandatory quiet time of 9pm-9am and it is strictly enforced. There is to be no audio/stereo outside. **

The internet / Wi-fi at this home has been upgraded to fiber-optic internet. It should be sufficient for streaming video, phone calls, remote work and video conferencing.
