My husband, our 2yr old, and I had a fantastic stay at Cindy & José’s charming cottage while visiting family nearby. The location can’t be beat, easy access to everything the city has to offer in a cozy neighborhood setting. The hosts are fantastic communicators and so thoughtful in the little touches they left throughout the home. Thank you!! We would absolutely stay here again next time we’re back in Seattle.

House was clean, well stocked, and comfortable for 4 adults. We had no issues so did not have to contact Cindy & Jose during stay. The driveway is no joke. We rented a truck due to other steep driveway reviews and sure glad we did- hope your backing skills are good as not enough room to turn around if longer truck - it all worked well for us. Bus stop at corner was convenient & were easy to navigate for us country folks. Neighborhood was safe and quiet. An overall great place to stay!

The property was exactly as described and served as a fantastic home base as we explored Seattle and the Cascades. We greatly enjoyed our time here. Other reviews are not joking about the driveway clearance. If you plan to visit and do need a car, opt for something that sits up high. We had no issues using transit and street parking in the neighborhood so no big deal. Will definitely be looking to stay here again if it is available next time I'm in town.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this charming Seattle cottage. The house was perfect for us. The location is great, with four good grocery stores and many restaurants within walking distance. We didn't need a car! The house is furnished with vintage amenities, all very practical and un-fussy. The beds were comfortable, and it was cozy and warm. The kitchen is tiny but very well-appointed; we had everything we needed to fully prepare our own meals. Our hosts obviously put a lot of thought into making this a delightful place for guests. They were excellent communicators and were very kind and generous in accommodating some special requests. We appreciated their commitment to recycling and composting and they made it easy for us to comply. I would love to stay here every time we go to Seattle!

Overall a nice place to stay! We loved being close to the convention center, but also feeling away from the city even though it right there! Listen to what they say about the drivewayas it is very steep but doable and we had a Jeep Grand Cherokee. Beds could use some upgrading. That was really our only complaint. We had a spider friend that wanted to join our festivities....he was ginormous!! Cindy and Jose were great hosts and always prompt in answering any questions we had...left us a sweet note to welcome us. Would consider this VRBO if we were coming to Seattle again!

The property was a little larger than I expected which was nice. Kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed for our stay. Lots of good stuff from previous guests left in the pantry. If we would've stayed longer I would've taken more advantage of the kitchen and the three grocery stores/co-ops within walking distance. The neighborhood is very nice. Restaurants, coffee shops, grocery all very close. It's called Capitol Hill for a reason so be ready to be going uphill and downhill if you want to walk anywhere. My wife and I had a lovely stay and our only regret is we didn't stay longer. Would definitely book this place again. Thank you Cindy & Jose!

Cute little house that we stayed in for the labour day long weekend. Close enough to walk around Capital Hill (it is quite hilly), and under $20 Uber to Pike Place Market. We loved the little patio out back - played cards, drank some wine, and had some laughs. Loved it.

This is a lovely house, felt spacious and perfect for our family of 4. It is on peaceful, quiet, tree lined street. There are restaurants within walking distance. The space is very pretty and tastefully decorated. Staying here was a delight and made Seattle feel so welcoming. A lovely city and a delightful home

This house is nice: clean, well furnished, plenty of space and good amenities. Half a block from great coffee and a bus stop, a few blocks from groceries/restaurants. Pleasant outdoor space with seating. The neighborhood is quiet and very enjoyable for walking. The hosts are friendly and responsive. Just a couple of notes: this house is in the flight path, which, depending on the day and how much quiet you need for sleeping, can be a significant factor (Wednesday morning had nonstop planes overhead starting at about 5:00am). The window AC units help muffle the noise a little but I would highly recommend ear plugs. Beds are fine, the full bed is a bit creaky (also the footboard would make this bed tricky for anyone over 5’7”), and some upgraded/extra pillows would make the sleeping experience better. Overall we enjoyed our stay and the house suited our needs well.

The property was wonderful! The period details were lovely, thoughtfully decorated, very nice linens and spacious enough for four comfortably. The washer and dryer were a great bonus. Located in a lovely neighborhood short drive or bus ride to downtown but great restaurants, parks, cool eat in movie theatre and a cafe all within walking distance - including a Trader Joe's! Nice pirvate yard and comfy porch. Highly recommend!

The house was perfect for the four of us (sharing beds). the only reason I went with 4 and not 5/5 stars was that the house is right on the flight path and the heater was very loud, so there was a little noise both inside and outside the house. Other than some noise which can't be helped, the house was very central with parking. We walked many thousand steps, but it was great to have a comfortable, clean, bright place to come back to. Katy's, a coffee shop half a block a way, was so sweet with delicious gluten-free offerings! Our hosts were quick to respond and very flexible and friendly. I would be back!

It was a pretty nice place to stay!! The driveway is definitely steep but our suv made it up pretty easily. It’s located pretty close to a lot of stuff which is super nice as well. The beds are firm but we like that, tv has Netflix/fire stick as well as cable. The hosts were wonderful and very helpful!! They even had some umbrellas for us which were needed through a lot of the trip since it rains a lot in Seattle. I think the only things we weren’t a huge fan of were the super steep driveway (which wasn’t a huge problem for us so that’s okay) and the shower, which works fine but is very tall and the water temperature seems to fluctuate quite a bit. Those are just little things though and the overall stay was really good!! Also a lot of super cute little wild bunnies around the area!! Highly recommend :)

What an amazing house, so unique and beautiful. We flew from California to see my best friends for my birthday. We really enjoyed our stay. Our hosts were wonderful with personal touches all through the house for us. The only complaint is they could use better beds but other than that top-tier stay.

Cindy & Jose's house in the Central District was a wonderful spot to stay if you want to visit the city, but feel like a local when you turn in for the night! Lovely, leafy neighborhood, with a co-op grocery and a nice little coffee shop both within easy walking distance. Cindy & Jose were easy to communicate with, and took care of a couple of issues that cropped up early in our stay extremely promptly and courteously.

It was convenient and close to Pikes Market. Safe neighborhood and friendly neighbor. For the price it was good. Full size bed needs to be replaced. It was rough on our back and very unstable. Other then that for its value and location. It was great!
