Stinson Beach Modern Cottage -Peaceful, Stylish, Walkable

Great location and check in process was easy. Host was easy to communicate with and answered our questions with ease. Just a couple steps from the beach, family had so much fun.

The location of the house is amazing, and it's bigger than I was expecting, given the proximity to the beach. It's a minute walk to the sand, and you can sit on the porch and watch the waves. The back patio was also spacious for a bbq and hanging out. It's a short, maybe 10 minute, walk on the beach to the main town square area. Overall, a great place for us and our kids for the weekend; would recommend and will hopefully be back!

This cottage has a large deck with fire gas lit pit in the back yard.Large front porch with seating. Great flow with modern kitchen.Clean and homey. The host was excellent answering questions. Only has one beautiful large bathroom. It is worth staying here. Stocked with beach toys, and games, TV.

My family of 4 stayed here for a few days before Thanksgiving. The property manager was nice enough to let us check in early on the day of our arrival. Within a few hours, we discovered that the hot water was broken. By this time it was evening and the property manager said she couldn't have anyone come out to fix it until the next day. She gave us instructions to try and fix it, which involved squeezing between the deck and fence (maybe 1.5 ft wide space) and finding a switch under the house. We didn't want to deal with the dark and rainy night in an unfamiliar setting so we went our first night without hot water. We managed to fix the switch on our own the next morning. That night we also discovered that the over knob was broken so we unknowingly broiled (and ruined) our dinner. We contacted the property manager about that as well and she said apparently it happens very often -- so often in fact that they have a box of spare knobs. It was obvious to me that the oven needed professional repair given the chronic breakage. The refrigerator also needs some maintenance. The temperature reading on the outside screen said it was 37 degrees, but any food we took out was barely cold. There's a rung missing from the ladder on the bunk bed and the beds and furniture are all showing their wear. It's obvious this is a popular rental, but it's looking pretty worn down given the traffic. I gave the property 3 stars because the location is great and the property manager was helpful.
