Station One - 4C Grimaldi - Oceanfront condo with community pool, tennis, beach

The location of this property is perfect. Building is on the beach with gorgeous beach views. Access to the beach and pool is fantastic. Short walk across the street for coffee, lunch, and dinner and an ice cream shop nearby. This building is in about the center of the island. Very easy access to the causeway to cross right over to Wilmington. Close to shopping. We stayed during the end of December, so parking was plentiful and we never had to wait for the elevator. We checked in at 4:00 and there were plenty of luggage carts to choose from. Pros for this particular unit: comfortable size for family of 4. Living room furniture and rug seem new and clean. Sounds of the ocean are a nice volume with all doors and windows closed. Did not hear noise from surrounding units. Cons for this unit: this unit was not spotless. The stove-top had smear marks. The top of the refrigerator was dusty. The shower heads had soap scum on them. The track to the shower door of the "kids" bathroom has soap scum as well. There was some type of dirt around the vent above the dining area. Dust on the top of the bedroom mirror. The sliding doors did not close all the way - large gap on the bottom. Thankfully there are no bugs in the winter, but if this had been summertime, I would have definitely been concerned about bugs entering the unit. Hallway and bedroom rugs are not new and are fraying in the hallway. Not all lightbulbs were working in the kitchen. We did not even attempt to use the dishwasher. It does not have a stainless steel interior and appeared rotted. We did not trust to use it, so we hand washed the few cups and dishes we used. The outlets are old - the outlets themselves are the old yellowish color but the outlet plates are bright white. Updated the look but not the actual outlets. The master bathroom - the toilet and shower are separate from the double sink area. The toilet and shower room is very small with its own door. The shower has a shower curtain. The double sink area does not have any privacy. Overall, great location and unit served its purpose. My family is definitely particular about things. We didn't pick up on these details from the photos. And we booked very last minute. We had a fantastic vacation, but will not choose this unit when we return. If you do rent this unit, rent directly from Intracoastal Realty to avoid the VRBO fee.

The property was great, exactly as advertised, in a great location for the Festival, Flotilla and fireworks. The only thing we would have liked is to know that paper products were our own responsibility. If it was advertised we missed it and then had an issue because the stores were closed for the Thanksgiving holiday. Everything worked out in the end and we would definitely return. Thanks for providing so many comforts of home!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We booked this unit last minute to give Wrightsville Beach a try. The location. At Station One is supreme if you want to be walking distance to all the bars shops and restaurants in the central beach area. The building is an old high rise with decently maintained grounds. The pool was open but cold due to October and not being heated. The beach access is great. The elevator carpet is smelly and soiled, plug your nose. The unit overall is in good shape with all you need for a comfortable stay. Great back patio view of the beach and front view of the Intracoastal. The furniture carpeting bathrooms and beds need updated but the test and internet are great! Free Parking is great and ample as the whole island is pay to park. Overall a great place to enjoy all Wrightsville Beach and the Wilmington area have to offer. Kohls Ice cream, Station 7 and Vitos pizza are a must!

The property is well kept and furnished will all you need. The views of the beach and ocean are incomparable and the evenings were all we could have asked for. This property is close to restaurants and a grocery store and we never had to leave the island. There was a wonderful .fish market down on the bay that provided us with truly fresh catches every day. I would recommend this vacation to anyone who needs to get away
