About this apartment rental

Just steps to the beach and aqua blue waters, this beautifully island decorated, second floor condo, is in the Sugar Beach Condominium Complex. This complex is located directly on the beach. It also has 3 large pools (one heated) kiddie pool, tennis court and reserved parking.

Our condo is a spacious 2 bedroom, 2 bath that comfortably sleeps 6, with 2 queen sized beds, and a full sized sofa bed and a rollaway. This unit has everything you need and may want like, Air conditioning, Heating, Linens, Free Wireless Internet, 3 TVS with Cable, VCR, DVD player, I-Pod speakers / Radio / CD player, A fully equipped Kitchen with dishwasher, top stove, and refrigerator, microwave, standard coffee maker, Keurig coffee machine, blender etc. It also has a large balcony with a partial ocean view. Washer and Dryer, Iron, hair dryer, and much more.

Note: Book for 7 nights and pay only for 6 nights.

This property is exactly as described. Steve and Connie were prompt responders and very accommodating! I would definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for a place to stay. There are no toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, soap, garbage bags). However, if you did forget anything there is a Walmart about 5mins away. Will definitely be staying here again next time we’re in town!

Very clean. Good location, however large tower being finished next door which i feel will crowd the beach. Multiple pools were nice, but the complex alltogether could use some maintenence. Second shower is VERY small (i am 5'4) and could barely use it.

Our stay was everything we hoped for. The beach was a close walk and it had 3 pools too. The place was decorated so beachy and it had a feel of comfort. There also was a Sugar shack to get drinks and food At the pool. The location on the beach and in the town was perfect for shopping and restaurants. I would go back to The Bliss anytime

What a wonderful place to stay for a month in February! The condo was as expected and good value for the price we paid. Love that it is right on the beach and so close to the Gulf Shores State Park where we spent many hours hiking the many trails. Restaurants and grocery stores are all very close. Cooked many times since the kitchen was well equipped. Would definitely return to this property again in the future if it is available for the month of February. The condo needs a good DEEP cleaning. Shower curtain had mold on it, screen on patio door was off track, patio doors difficult to open, neither door lock, kitchen utensils poor condition, stains on couch, mattress pad stained, bath towels had holes in them, carpet in bedrooms were very dirty, set of dentures in bathroom, elevators don’t work smoothly, decking around pool area has many rotted boards, washer & dryer was good condition.

Condo was clean, but is small, not as spacious as described. Bed seemed more like a full size, not queen as described. Furniture dated, could really use an update. Ocean view was was minimal at best, one mainly saw the condos beside you. Screen door was off of sliding door, which would not lock. Overall condo was satisfactory for us. Disappointed in lack of ocean view, and you could only walk in the loose sand of the beach. There was a big drop off to the water, where you really couldn’t walk. Also there was no mention of a $35 parking fee. If you don’t mind the things mentioned, condo is fine, as it was clean.

So the pictures listed on VRBO made this property look fantastic. When we arrived at the condo, first impressions were not good. The parking garage had black mold growing on the outside walls. When we entered our unit, we were met with more black mold in every crevice of the unit. Mold in the air vents, mold all in the bathrooms, the carpet felt musty and there was a nasty stench to the unit. My kids took their shoes off to run around and the bottoms of their feet were completely black from the dirt leftover on the floor. Before we could start our vacation, we had to go buy cleaning supplies just to clean the area so we could be semi-comfortable. As a nurse, I know the dangers of breathing in and being in an area that is infested with black mold. We were appalled that this condo was still able to be rented out to unsuspecting PAYING customers. How did this building pass an inspection?? I can say neither I nor my family will ever want to return to Sugar Beach condos. Not only was the parking garage/condo room moldy, but the hallways were too which tells me that this problem was not restricted to our unit alone. This condo seriously needs to be updated and cleaned thoroughly as well as heavily treated for black mold before someone has a serious medical event from this neglect.

What an amazing week for our family! The pools and beach being so accessible to go back and forth was amazing. And relaxing in the condo was perfect in between! We made the best memories, had a comfy stay and lived in the ocean and pool. We will be back!

We stay at sugar beach every year. I will say that this condo was not the cleanest when we got there and i had to reclean it which i know doesnt fall on the owners and more on the ppl that clean for the condo. We were alittle disappointed that there werent boogie boards and stuff available to use as there has been in the past but the size of this room was great for the price! Also was well stocked with any dish you would need. We would def book again.

The facility was decent. Enjoyed the covered parking and that there were 4 pools. The condo itself, wasn’t bad but could definitely use a real good cleaning and update. Beds were comfortable and really liked having a washer and dryer in the unit. Steve was quick to respond to any questions or concerns.

We enjoyed the beach and pool very much. We were happy that the condo was so affordable and close to the beach. With that said I wish the partial beach view was accurately shown in pictures. I was incredibly disappointed upon arrival and felt deceived because I did inquire about it before final payment. The condo was not properly cleaned and I found hair in towels and on beds. We are both sensitive to mold which we found in condo. Once I got over disappointment and cleanliness we had a good time. Next time I personally will not sacrifice cleanliness and the view for affordability.

We had the most amazing week on Orange Beach. The condo was perfect for our family and had everything we needed! We we’re able to relax on the balcony and go to the pool and beach anytime we wanted without all of the crazy crowds.

We had a great time here, loved being on the beach. Although the unit is on the smaller side, it had everything we needed. It was so nice having a washer/dryer in the unit. The heated pool was amazing bc we didn’t have the best weather (last week of March 2023) but we were able to swim everyday in the heated pool. It was exactly what our family of 5 was looking for in this budget friendly beach vacation!

We were guests of Steve and Connie at their Sugar Beach Condo in Orange Beach Alabama from February 1st to March 1st. The condo is in an excellent location right on the beach and close to many restaurants and stores. There are 3 outside pools by the beach (one heated) and lots of beach chairs for sunbathing or just relaxing. All the floors in the condo were vinyl plank except the bedrooms which were carpeted. The carpeting needs cleaning and had a musty smell. We managed to air out the master bedroom somewhat, but the smell never went away in the second bedroom. We only used the master bedroom during our stay. The bed was very comfortable. Both the master bedroom and the living room have sliding patio doors leading out to a balcony that faces east (nice for enjoying the morning sun). We had a great stay. Steve and Connie were quick to reply to any of our questions.

Great location and accurate listing with a few hiccups! Heading into our stay, we received great communication from the owners with accurate directions and entry info. We arrived after dinner on Labor Day after a 10 hour drive from Texas. We went to go to bed and could not figure out how to lower the temp on thermostat. So just figure we would have a warm night of sleeping. After showering, I went to crawl into bed and my surprise, there was not a top sheet on the bed. The bottom sheets was really rough, so I just slept on top of the covers with a blanket I brought from home. I did sent a message to the owners about the thermostat and missing sheet before falling asleep. I woke to a reply with info about the thermostat and a promise for the housekeep to bring by a sheet. All promises kept! We were able to enjoy the rest of our stay with no further issues. Great location and felt safe in condo as two females vacationing alone.
