About this house rental
Cedar Hollow Cottage is nestled among tall pine trees steps from the beach in Union Pier. This home has an open floor plan, with a great room comprised of living room with gas fireplace, dining room and kitchen with breakfast bar. Two large comfortable couches for naps or movie nights.
The kitchen is equipped for cooking. The dining table seats 10. You can easily add another table if you need more space. There are four bar stools at the breakfast bar.
French doors lead to a sunny three season room that can be used for extra entertaining space, additional sleeping space (blow up mattress or couches) or play space for the kids.
The master bedroom (king) connects to a master bath with walk-in shower and jacuzzi tub. Another large bedroom is toward the front of the home (king) as well. The middle bedroom on the main floor has a queen bed.
Upstairs, there is a loft area (twin bed) and the fourth bedroom (queen) with a pull out trundle bed. The loft area is ideal for a little get-away for adults or children. Great for reading or watching a movie from the library on the small TV.

If you're looking to be outdoors, enjoy a family sized hot tub on the patio off the back deck. This is a great place to grill and eat al fresco- or relax on the huge outdoor sectional couch. The home has an outdoor picnic table and smaller glass table for outdoor dining. If you're looking for a little warmth, you can use the fire pit! If you're looking to escape the buggy nights, you can stay on the front porch- which is screened in (and has a dining table and additional outdoor seating).
Miller beach is a 3 minute walk along Lakeshore and the entrance is more even (not as steep) as the usual Michigan beach stair. Miller beach is a great place to spend the day or watch a sunset in the evening.
The garage is not available for guest use.
Nearby, there are 6 public beaches including Warren Dunes State Park, Silver Beach in St. Joseph (fantastic carousel for kids and adults) and Cherry Beach. Many biking trails. Wine tasting on the wine trail for those who want to sample and drive through the lovely countryside. Several golf clubs close-by. Shopping, antique hunting, breweries, distilleries, casino, great restaurants and art galleries are all within a short car ride.

This is the second time I’ve stayed here with friends. Great location and lots of space. We had a few minor issues—but spoke with host about them and she’s resolving, including updating the guest bathroom this year! It’s a cozy, comfortable home.

Very open with plenty of seating, abundance of dishes, easy access to the beach, great support and response time from homeowner for cleanliness concerns; the home is in need of better maintenance.
