About this chalet rental
Tucked away in the woods but conveniently located a short 15 minute drive from Bethel village, 25 minutes from Sunday River, and 12 minutes from Mount Abram, this well-appointed chalet-style home is the perfect place to relax after a long day on the slopes or in the hills. During the summer of 2015, we added a new Hot Springs Sovereign spa on a new secluded deck. Enjoy the benefits of hydrotherapy while taking in spectacular mountain sunset views, looking up to starry nights, or sipping on your morning coffee.
In the winter, cozy up next to the fire on the open main floor while the kids watch a movie downstairs.
In the summer, enjoy the beautiful mountain views while sitting on the wrap-around deck, the star-gazing, and the long evenings playing cards in the screened in porch.
This beautiful getaway comfortably sleeps 8 with plenty of room to spare.

Nate and Dave’s house is the perfect ski retreat. Close by to many ski adventures whether at Sunday River or Carters for cross country…endless possibilities await. Their home is fully stocked, cozy, and comfortable. It was a wonderful February vacation.

This was our 4th time staying at Dave and Nate’s place. They’re excellent hosts. Each group of friends and family we’ve gone with has been wowed by the balance of charm/comfort/amenities (working wifi, surround sound music system, gas fireplace, large hot tub, etc.)

We had the best time staying at the Jackalope Lodge. Nate & Dave were very helpful and would respond within minuets to any questions we had. The check in and check out process was very easy and the house was perfect.

This an exceptional rental from beginning to end. As three mid-twenty year olds working remote for five weeks this seemed like a risky booking, but wow did it pay off! Communication with the hosts was clear right from the start, and the contactless checkin was seamless. The decor makes for a warm seasonal touch. Within hours we were able to settle in, making the place feel like home. All three of us were working remote with constant video calls and downloads and the internet was fantastic. We regularly cooked large meals and the kitchen was full of basic cooking utensils and great appliances. After dinner we enjoyed lounging in the living room with the electric fireplace. We also took full advantage of the hot tub, especially under the night sky and there’s plenty of fire logs for an outdoor fire in the fire pit. Indoors, the finished basement with an Apple TV was a great place to unwind. We also enjoyed the surrounding area, even during covid. Socially distanced wine tastings, some fun takeout options, beautiful hikes/bike/running routes. And the leaf peeping was incredible!! None of us had ever spent this much time in Maine and we were all truly blown away. We fully recommend this property for anyone looking for all comforts of home while also embracing the wonderful outdoors of Maine.
