Disappointing

The room and en suite bathroom were spacious.

I dined at the restaurant at Waterrijk Oesterdam Dining and Lounge and ordered the Iberico rack. The meat was served raw, with visible blood on the plate, making it inedible and posing a serious health risk. I informed one of the servers about this. While the issue was acknowledged, the only compensation offered was a complimentary drink. I do not find this appropriate or fair, as a potential health risk cannot be compensated with a glass of prosecco. Given the price point and the standards one would expect from a hotel restaurant, this response was very disappointing. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and reviews both kitchen quality control and how such incidents are handled with guests.

Wanted to stay longer .....

Amazing location , even the access road is Jaw dropping . The Hotel and surrounding buildings have been very well designed and look great by the water . A really special feeling around the whole place , we felt very lucky to be there. Inside is luxurious and modern , solid and soundproofed , we felt like the only guests there . The views are spectacular , and our suite was spacious and very comfortable. We tried to learn some, but we do not speak Dutch however the staff all spoke very good English and treated us with great kindness . The wellness /spa was exactly what we needed after a long drive and was a huge bonus adding to a very pleasant stay 😀

Absolutely, the only issue we had was with the ventilation system , for us it kicked in every 3-4 minutes all the through the night with a brief buzzing sound , it unfortunately did effect our sleep .

Beautiful but boring

Rooms are large and nicely decorated, the bed was super comfy and I loved the view on the marina from our room. I could see the sunset from my bed. The wellness facilities are nice but quite small considering the size of the resort

It’s isolated, and if you don’t have a car you’re cut out of the world. Any activity costs extra. The language on the signage is also quite negatively worded resulting in not being welcoming at all. The staff did not make any effort in that direction either. TV did not have Netflix and I could not even use the atV to stream my own content.

Wonderful mini-break in a fabulous hotel resort

This was a really stylish hotel: the suite was a good size and felt luxurious and comfortable. The bathroom was great with nice Rituals products. The spa was perfect - lovely warm pool with a beautiful view, and heavenly sauna and steam room. The restaurant was gezellig and the food really delicious. All of the staff were friendly and helpful.

There was no body lotion in the bathroom.

Clean, peaceful and very modern.

- Great, spacious room with awesome view to the harbour. - Very clean - Very modern - Neightbours, corridor and the entire milieu was very quiet and peaceful

- We've arrived a bit late, 30 minutes before the reception closed (closes at 20:00). Reception couldn't provide extra blankets at 19:50 because the crew went home already. I had to rush to the nearest town to buy few sandwiches for the family, because the hotel has no vending machines or anything like that. I know it's our fault, but I was hoping for a vending machine at the hotel, but unfortunately, there were none available. Moreover, I think a request to an additional blanket at 19:50 is not something crazy like making wishes at 02:15AM. - I don't like this "open bathroom" trend in hotels :/ But it's my thing.

Overall enjoyable stay.

I would like to commend your breakfast offerings, which were of good quality. The restaurant facilities were also good and met my expectations. Additionally, I appreciated the small but well-equipped spa, which had a sauna, infrared heat, salt room, and steam room. It was lovely and added to the overall enjoyment of my stay. Lastly, I was pleased with the spaciousness of my room and the beautiful bathroom. Both were well-appointed and made for a comfortable stay.

The room lacked a telephone, which I found to be a bit inconvenient. Additionally, I was unable to watch TV from the comfort of my bed. I also had the opportunity to try the sports massage service, while I appreciate the effort of the staff to provide a quality service I believe there is room for improvement.

Very poor place. It’s not a hotel, but sport motel that is somehow used for business gatherings

Total absence of service: - No minibar (fridge is empty) - Need to make a booking for your breakfast next morning believe it or not, otherwise there is simply not breakfast (but they won’t tell you at check in ) - No room service (personnel even encourages you to order a pizza to be delivered to your room!) - No personnel to help you after 6:30 pm (even reception is closed) It was really a ghost hotel: Barely any personnel and clients.

Amazing property in unique location has big potential when managed with more eye for detail. Comfortable beds, gorgeous views from the suite, ample parking, tasty breakfast. Early checkin was provided. Granted access to the spa 3 hours before checkin time, and 3 hours after checkout time - which was generous.

The 11:00AM checkout policy is strictly upheld - considering this is a spa hotel and at a time when the hotel was seemingly empty - quite disappointing. Late checkout comes at a hourly fee, and is managed like a revenue-earning model rather than an extra perk in terms of customer service. In that sense, I believe hotel management is confused; it appears to be running at 3-4 star hotel in a 5 star property. Complementary water bottles are missing in room (which you would expect). Room telephones are missing and seems to be done on purpose to avoid ‘annoying’ requests from guests (towels / soaps / checkout times ?). Swimming pool was too cold to be used; however this probably relates to the energy crisis. Steam bath and Sauna worked properly. One minor issue is that staff in the restaurant was quite rude; they got upset for using the wrong cups under the coffee machine.

Nice hotel, super rooms and great location a bit on the expensive side ...

The hotel, our superior suite we where in and surroundings were great. Spacious and clean. Check in went smooth and friendly staff . The breakfast is very well taken care off, a lot of choice. We enjoyed the wellness but we were alone, a bit small if more people are in the wellness and no real seating or relax area.

The dinner in the restaurant could have been better, the food was ok but service a bit less, they forgot the wine, then a wrong wine and to pay extra for some bread with a 2 person 50 euro pp seafood platter that does not include any side order (fries, bread or so) is a bit much.

overpriced Holiday Inn experience

The staff was very kind. especially in the restaurant. The dinner and the breakfast were good.

- the beds are AWFUL. The thinn topper moves around and my husband slept most of the night on the mattress itself because the sheets are not fitted. honestly quite disgusting if you think about how many people have slept in the beds. not the fault of the cleaners, the system just doesn’t work. - cleaners only made up bed. Didn’t clean bathroom and didn’t take out used coffee cups. - the wellness area has good facilities but no beds. so guests end up sitting awkwardly in chairs or on the ground at the swimming pool. no soap in the spa to wash hands? Weird. If you book a massage : there is NO area in the Spa for that. massage is done in your room. The cleaners knocked at our door in the middle of the massage. hard to relax. - no conditioner in the room. Never seen that in a 5 star hotel. not even complementary water in the room. - restaurant prices are out of this world. Eating out in the Center of Amsterdam is cheaper. It feels like the hotel management is using the fact that there is not much in the area. - the entire hotel is missing atmosphere. When entering, it feels like you are in the local City Hall. - I cannot recommend the hotel. the management really has to improve a lot to make this 5 star worthy. it’s a bit sad for the employee because they really try their best to make you feel comfortable.

The restaurant food quality is amazing and the staff is very friendly and super helpful. Great room and very good bed.

When entering the room it was very HOT. for a 5* hotel I would expect that they would turn on the airco before new guests arriving.
