Good for a short stay , no restaurant on site

We were in Biervliet to attend a family funeral. It's a lovely little town and this is a great place to stay.

This deconsecrated church has undergone a significant internal architectural transformation. It is a marvel of interior design, every detail has been considered whilst keeping the sense of grandeur of the building's original use. The large open public space is simply awesome. Our room on the upper gallery featured a large arched window and vaulted ceiling. Everything was immaculate with a real thought for design. Beautiful. We opted for the breakfast which was served to us, it was exceptional you shouldn't miss it. Not like any other hotel breakfast I've had, and I've travelled a fair bit. The staff/owners clearly love working in this wonderful building and that translates into the excellent service they provide.

Perfect stay in an exceptional lovely hotel

This is an exceptional hotel in a former church which has been transformed by the owners in a perfect hotel. It is very stylish and you can feel that the owners live their dream. Rooms are very nice integrated into the architecture of the church and offer all comfort. Breakfast is delicious and once again you can feel the passion of the owners as all is prepared and served in a unique way. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Incredible nice staff, VERY well designed interior. Surroundings great for cycling and walking. Can't think about any negative thing. Oh yes 1 thing: I would place Nespresso machines in the rooms instead of the existing coffee facilities.

Perfect for a short trip, clean, quiet, modern, Wi-Fi, parking. welcoming.

A wow factor as soon as you enter. the soft furnishings were lovely. The finishing touch details were to perfection. The room was immaculate, quiet, comfortable and equipped with all you should need. Rooms upstairs and down, should you struggle with stairs. The breakfast was superb, with that little extra touch. Parking not a problem. A quaint village with a restaurant nearby for evening meals. Terneuzen close by also. The hosts spoke perfect English (Thank you)! very welcoming. Will be returning.

Would have liked perhaps complimentary water for the second night, but that was it.

A very special find.

Every now and then you find something quite special and this is Kerkhotel. We were amazed at the attention to detail that has gone into this property. Everything is perfect and I highly recommend it.

We love this unique hotel and area

Unique location in a lovely quiet area. Beautiful luxury room with an excellent bed! Friendly welcome, excellent service during our stay, in short the perfect holiday address! Our stay was very pleasant so we have already booked for the second time. The hotel has a free parking and you can charge your electric car in front of the door. There are fantastic restaurants in the area and the beach is a 20 min drive.

It was just perfect! We had nothing to complaint about. We recommend this hotel

Great for a special and romantic weekend

Beautifully renovated church with very kind owners who have a great eye for detail. Loved the design and quality of the materials used. Very comfortable bed and great bathroom. Breakfast is, albeit a bit pricey, very very good - all in all good value for money. We had a problem with noise in the room which was caused by the wind and something malfunctioning, and the owners were very quick to solve it, even late at night, and they compensated us for the inconvenience proactively which we really appreciated.

Ventilation in the bathroom is always on and can be a little bit loud - if you’re sensitive to noise, I’d recommend to bring earplugs. Other than that, thanks to the location and the thick walls, it’s all very quiet.

Very stylish hotel in old church. Completely renovated in 2020 to the highest standards.

The hotel is newly constructed, very stylish and everything of the highest quality. Very personal and warm reception. The owner even made me some soup because local restaurants were already closed at the time I arrived. Breakfast was good.

An absoltely amazing experience in a beautiful and unique hotel!

Everything was just amazing! It has been one of our best hotel experiences ever. The hotel itself is beautiful, extremely clean and feels very special. Every little detail was thought of and the staff was super friendly and helpful. We were served an amazing breakfast and the whole experience was just more than perfect.

Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthat bei Menschen die lieben was sie tun.

Es ist nicht „nur“ ein 4-Sterne-Hotel sonder so viel mehr. Die ehemalige Kirche ist mit so viel mehr als guter Ausstattung eingerichtet. Man spürt direkt beim Betreten das hier etwas Neues mit sehr viel Herz, Geschmack und Liebe zum Detail geschaffen wurde. Und auch als Gast wird man sehr herzlich empfangen und während des gesamten Aufenthalts wertgeschätzt. Das Frühstück ist sehr lecker, abwechslungsreich und immer sehr schön angerichtet. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und auch sehr stilvoll eingerichtet. Ganz herzlichen Dank an Marianne (eine der Inhaber) und das Team zu dieser Zeit. Es hat uns wirklich an nichts gefehlt und wir kommen gern irgendwann dorthin zurück.

Es gab nichts was uns nicht gefallen hat.
