About this house rental
Located in Kawama Yacht Club, a secure gated community with a peaceful island feeling. Our townhouse was renovated 6 months ago and has a fully stocked kitchen. This location also comes with floats to float your cares away in the lovely salt water lagoon. Our bathroom has double shower heads to take a relaxing shower. The master bedroom has a new foam mattress and yummy pillows. Both balconies have chairs and a table to enjoy your morning coffee or a cocktail at night. There's also a washer/dryer and out door BBQ.
Located in the heart of Key Largo, Kawama Yacht Club is a tropical island paradise of over 22 landscaped acres and is a self-contained vacation spot. You can snorkel in our three-acre salt water lagoon, swim in one of our two heated pools, or hop on our golf cart and bring a glass of wine to watch the breathtaking sunrises or sunsets from our oceanfront private beach or 400’ jetty. Our family friendly resort boasts a new playground and tennis courts. For the avid fisherman and boater, Kawama has a marina where you will have free use of the boat ramp and where renting a boat slip is an option. No boat? No problem! Boat rentals and deep sea fishing charters are close by. For the diving enthusiast, the waters of our oceanfront property are part of John Pennekamp’s dive waters with beautiful coral reefs and fabulous diving spots just offshore. Kawama is close to a variety of unique shops and local eateries that offer the best in fresh seafood and key lime pie. Dolphins Plus and Dolphin Cove are just minutes away. Enjoy the two-hour scenic drive to Key West, taking in the vivid turquoise waters along the way.

Host, Odalys, was very easy to communicate with. Home was comfortable and well stocked! Great location in Key West in a quiet, gated community but close to everything!

When we arrived very late the place had not been cleaned but the owner was very much on the ball and had the cleaning crew there the following morning. Very happy with her response time and resolution to the problem. The townhouse is a nice property with functional amenities. The kitchen is very well appointed with everything you need to cook in. The furniture in the pictures is not the furniture in the condo. There is one bunk bed and a separate twin in the second bedroom. The master furniture is pictured but the box spring and mattress are on the floor and that was a huge issue for me, an old man with back problems. Getting in and out of it was painful and miserable. The stairway is very narrow and has no handrail so if stairs are a problem then this one is a little tricky. We had a great time and the condo was sufficient but there were a few surprises. Oh and you may want to know their is no assigned parking but it didn’t become an issue for us till out second to last night there when we came home and someone was in the only spot in front of our unit. Had to park down by another building.

The unit worked well for us, coordinating with others who stayed in other units. We were able to make use of the Kawana facilities for a gathering and for swimming in the lagoon, but not the pool because it was too hot. We were able to use some locked up kayaks but only through another unit's property manager. Very nice to have some floating toys that were available with the unit to use.

The hosts were welcoming...The accommodations were not up to par. Does anyone PHYSICALLY, go to check these units before they're rented? We could see tiles broken outside and in.The front door was damaged. Looked like someone tried to break in using crowbars.Kitchen tiles were cracked.The downstairs bathroom toilet was slow to work. The bathroom itself was so tiny, not one of the 4 adults staying there could use it. Couldn't turn around in the shower. We think the shower was an add-on so they could claim 2 full bathrooms. NO electric outlet to shave or blow hair. Not one shelf to put our things. Bedroom beds were on the floor. The 2nd bedroom had a bunk bed, a single bed on floor and NO place to hang clothes. There was a board that the hangers couldn't fit on and it was very low..for children I suppose. We had to hang our clothes on the bunk bed frames.The stairs were steep and shallow. We had to walk sideways. Those steps were also cracked. No bannister to hold while on stairway. Also, seemed to have an electric problem. Ceiling light was blinking on and off in kitchen.The living room couch was filthy.No safety bar/gate at top of stairs, an accident waiting to happen. When we stripped our beds before leaving, The mattress cover was exposed.I almost threw up when I saw the massive stains on the mattress.We are 4 adults who travel together often. These are the worst accomodations we've ever had.
