Hotel Regent Tallinn

The hotel is in a great location just inside the upper edge of old town, a short walk from the train station. The interior is beautiful, the sauna is cozy, and the room is softly appointed and spacious. The staff are also friendly and gracious.

The blackout curtains did not completely cover the windows.

The staff are fantastic, always such a warm welcome, from when you first check in to returning each evening, its very, very clean, from the reception, public stairways to the rooms. Its situated in the best location- the heart of Tallinn Old Town. Its a historic building as well.

The bar and restaurant were not open during our stay, which in mid June was quite a shock to my husband and I. We book hotels based on these being available, so we know we can enjoy a drink in between plans, at the end of an evening, etc. There is no fridge in the room, so whilst water is available, it is never cold and you can't have any milk with your coffee (a Nespresso machine was in our room) because there is nowhere to keep it cold. We had to turn the shower/kitchen taps on about 10-15 mins before wanting hot water, which is something we were not told when being showed to our room, so I went down to reception and was informed. Shower pressure was unfortunately not great, the bathroom we had was beautiful, but the shower pressure was quite annoying. No phone in the room, so you do always have to walk downstairs/get lift, if you need something.

Great location and beautifully renovated building

We had a superior room but it wasn’t spacious - if we wanted a reading light kettle or fridge we could request it from the reception. The restaurant was closed the whole time. When I requested some milk I was told I could get it at the convenience store
