Relax--Zen inspired getaway just steps from Lake James. This home has everything you need to unwind and enjoy all that Lake James has to offer. A peaceful courtyard welcomes you at the entrance. Once inside you will feel your cares begin to slip away....Glass doors surround the entire house, revealing lake and mountain views. The open floor plan is newly renovated with bamboo flooring, new kitchen and updated bathrooms. A large covered deck with dining table with seating for 6 overlooks the lake with views of Shortoff Mountain, Table Rock and Grandfather Mountain. The main floor has a large round dining table that seats eight and bar seating for five. The kitchen comes fully equipped with everything you need, including a gas grill on the deck! Wood burning fireplace in great room for cozy fall evenings. The sleeping loft on the main level is accessible by ladder and has a full size bed, lamp, games and two fluffy, friendly stuffed animals to snuggle. Master bedroom on main level has lake and mountain views, king size bed and private bath with stone, tile and glass shower. The lower level has a foosball table and wet bar as well as a tv with dvd player, a large dvd collection full of family/kid friendly movies and Roku/YouTube TV for streaming shows. There are twin size bunk beds and a twin roll away in an alcove off the family room The bathroom on the lower level has been newly updated with granite countertop, tile, stone and glass shower. The bedroom on the lower level has a queen size bed and view of the lake.

Visiting in the summer? There are floating toys and life jackets for lake fun. For those who are adventurous, the top deck of the dock has a gate for jumping off into the clean and soothing waters of Lake James!

Visiting in fall or spring? This time of year is one of the best kept secrets around Lake James. Lake traffic is light and often warm enough for boating (especially canoeing or kayaking) and/or swimming. A great time for fishermen! Mountain biking trails are less than 3 miles away at Lake James State Park and hiking trails are too numerous to count-- hike to the top of Shortoff Mountain or into the Linville Gorge and surround yourself with the beauty that only Mother Nature can provide.

Visiting in winter? An especially peaceful time of year to gaze out the window at the (sometimes) snow topped mountains and peaceful lake. Enjoy the warmth and crackle of the fireplace after a day of hiking or snow tubing in Jonas Ridge. Ski resorts are 30-40 minutes away in Boone, NC. Check out charming nearby Morganton for shopping, micro-breweries and restaurants or Silver Fork Winery just a few miles down the road with live music on weekends..... the possibilities are endless!
