This beautiful waterfront home is a MUST STAY! Open Kitchen to the spacious living room (boasting 6 reclining chairs) with a flat screen tv, enclosed (sound proof) game room with 60 game console, and Ping Pong table overlooking the water! Amazing views from every window! Master bedroom (main floor) includes a separate large shower and soaking tub! Outdoor water craft includes two paddle boards, three Kayaks, floats, and 7 life jackets (5 adult, 2 child). Multiple cleats for docking your own water craft, as well as private water entry in community for private watercraft launching.
Ample sleeping space for 14 people (note: overnight occupancy 14):
Master Bedroom (King size bed) includes large walk in closet, flat screen TV, large bath on main level.
Two bedrooms upstairs with shared bathroom includes (bedroom 2) two double beds sleeps 4. (Bedroom 3) One bunk bed with twin over double , and a Queen sized bed as well sleeping 5 total! Additional Lodging in Apartment studio above garage with separate stair entrance, kitchenette with microwave, sink, and mini fridge. (Sleeps 4) Large flat screen TV, Queen bed, Queen sofa sleeper, and full bath.

Check-in went very smooth. No problems. The kitchen was well stocked with silver ware, pots, pans and cookie sheets. Kurieg and Mr. Coffee were both available. Dishes were plentiful also. In all it was a very enjoyable week.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sunset Retreat, the house is beautiful, roomy and offers everything you would need for a vacation rental. The kitchen and living area is perfect for a large group. The boat house and all it has to offer made our stay and we enjoyed everything immensely. The property offers all you need....toys for the water, a place to hide with a good book, the cool evenings fires are a perfect way to end a day of fun and relaxation.

Great hosts. Wonderful views. Good location on lake close to gas a decent restaurant. Excellent home layout for two families. Spacious rooms. Suite above garage has privacy. Nice big kitchen and eating area. Living room is well laid out with seating. Rear porch is a great hangout area. Dock is nice and boat lift for either a pontoon or V hull is great. Plus spots for two jet skis.The new mini fridge at the dock is a nice touch. Home is well appointed. Walk back to the home isn’t too steep. Game room is nice; the ping pong table got a workout. This was our second stay and will stay again. Tree came down from a storm and they were there within 24 hours to address it.

This is the 3rd year in a row we have booked this house! It is pet friendly, on a perfect lake location, has a great pier and beachy area, and communication with the host is always timely! We are booked again for next year.

This is our second summer coming to Sue and Lou’s beautiful home sunset Harbor. We absolutely had a fantastic time so many memories great evening boat rides. We loved jumping off the dock and swimming in the in the lake. It was just a magical week. As always, the house was immaculately clean. The kitchen was well stocked. Everyone was very pleased with their the rooms on clean sheets, plenty of towels we enjoyed setting up on the back deck as the sun was set and enjoyed the fire pit actually got to watch some fireworks on the fifth, which was quite wonderful.

WOW! I really don't know how to describe our week at Sunset Harbour. It was excellent to say the least. I know I titled it UNPLUG but 3 of us worked a couple days...at the same time, with no issues. Everything we needed was there! Our family ranged from 78 to 2 and it fit! Great layout, plenty of space for everyone. Knew from the listing it had games, toys, beach equipment etc. but we never really trust that. You CAN with this listing! Bring your own fishing poles but other than that, it is all there. We ate out 2x just because we could. Everything (putt-putt golf, restaurant, grocery, taphouse) all close by. Beach area for the kids and the water access was perfect for everyone. Our hosts were great if we had any questions and the household rules/ directions were easy to comply with. Hate to say how great it was as everyone in our group wants to return next year and we don't want someone else grabbing our time! :)

We loved the house, the layout of the property and the areas that our grandson could enjoy were a real bonus. We had 4 generations staying with us during this week. We had ping pong matches and with everyone cooking at least one night, plenty of room and storage for all of our hungry guests! Immaculately clean, well provisioned and just the kitchen perfect place for our family gathering!!

This is the second year in a row we rented this house. We love the location and the house is the perfect size for our family. The house is well maintained, well stocked, and clean. The pier, sandy play area, fire pit and boathouse are also in excellent condition. The owners are incredibly nice and very responsive. This year’s addition of a black stone grill was a nice surprise. We have already booked for next year!

Vacationing with family is great, having our own private apt. getaway was fantastic. With 6 kids on vacation at night when they aren't ready to end the day we retired to our quiet apt. The house is roomy and the kids enjoyed the game room. Everyone enjoyed the kayaks, wakeboard and just the floats provided to relax in the lake. The firepit area is fantastic and plenty of seating is provided. My only negative are the spiders. I would have had a great time with a powerwasher on the boat house. I do have a spider phobia so my warning is don't go near the boat house at night that's when they come out and hang in their webs.

This was the best property we have ever rented. The house was well equipped for 14. Kitchen had all the things needed to cook with. Plenty of space with a great porch and views of the lake. Boat house, dock, fire pit and beach area were just right for fishing and for the kids to play. Would come back again.

This is a nice, large house on a really beautiful lot with a great view of the lake, both day and night. It’s beautiful by the water but it’s a long walk through the grass—we might have spent more time there if it were half as far. There were 10 of us, six adults and four children, and we had plenty of room and never got in each other’s way, which was especially nice in the spacious kitchen. The other reviews here are accurate and capture the charm of the place. I only have minor complaints, which maybe I shouldn’t mention, and won’t stop us from coming back, but here goes: some of the bedrooms didn’t have dressers or nightstands, there are no towel bars in the main bath, the dinner plates are not microwave safe, the kitchen / great room has a lot of echo, and the couch has lost most of its fluff, but was still comfortable. Definitely a 5/5!

My family enjoyed this property immensely! There are 14 of us ranging in age from 2 to 67. It had something for everyone. The teens loved the game room and we all loved the kayaks and SUPs. The sandy area was perfect for my great granddaughter! The walk in area of water was so nice for those of us who just wanted to float. We hope to make this a yearly vacation!

We enjoyed our week at Sunset Harbour. It is situated within a 10 minute drive to most restaurants and other things to do around Lake Anna. The lakefront/dock area is perfect for resting, playing games, and swimming. I used the boat lift to keep my boat in the lake all week without fear of it being jostled by waves or getting rained on heavily. Rented a pontoon as well from Shipwreck rental less than a mile away. Plenty of room on the dock to tie that off as well. Game room was a hit with the whole family. Owner was very responsive to a few questions I had. We hope to rent again in the future!

With ourselves and children and 7 grandchildren, we had a great stay at sunset retreat. The place was clean, had plenty of room and kitchen well stocked. Location was beautiful with great views of the lake. The game room with ping pong and game consoles and other games kept everyone entertained. Neighbors were friendly and helpful. The amenities were great with stand-up paddle boards, kayaks and an easy shallow entry (1 foot) that was perfect for the little ones. Water was perfect temp at end of June and boat traffic was minimal. Very much recommend!

We could not have been happier here. Fit our family perfectly! However, we will no longer be able to return due to the pet status of the home. We understand ,but are so disappointed when we watched our pets so carefully, that other guests didn’t do the same. They hurt it for the guests, that truly appreciated the rules and abided by them. Very clean. Very beautiful, spacious and perfect Place for rest and relaxing vacation. We kayaked daily and enjoyed our morning coffee while watching the eagles over the lake. We loved our week here and would definitely recommend this Vrbo to anyone!

Wow, we had such a wonderful time on our trip! The house was perfect for 13 of us - the house was beautiful and had everything we needed. The sound-proof, see-through doors to the ping pong/game room was clutch, as it allowed the young (and young at heart) to have fun and be as loud as they wanted :) The yard, boat dock/slips and fire pit were perfect for us! We rented a pontoon boat and were able to use the convenient boat lift for docking. The sunsets and early/evening kayaking was delightful. The location is not far from grocery stores and restaurants - and we even took a day trip to Monticello, which is less than an hour away. On a side note, I will add that the hosts were incredibly responsive. We had some minor confusion about the trash/recycling collection, and Susanna was in touch continually to make sure the issue was remedied quickly. Great house - highly recommend!!

Our week was terrific--filled with water sports daily. Three kayaks and two paddleboards were provided and we added two more kayaks and a canoe of our own. We also brought our 18 foot run about which we easily launched in the neighborhood launching area and we were able to drive up onto the lift every day after use. It was a dream fulfilled. The home had wonderful amenities for the kids when they took shelter in the 93 degree afternoons. There is a beautiful large sloping yard from the house down to the lake that provided an opportunity for many wonderful evenings of games. We even had an evening around the campfire with s'mores and songs with ukulele accompaniment. We adults absolutely loved the Screenhouse on the dock. A beautiful place for evening cocktails or morning devotions with coffee! Can't wait to do it again. The owners were wonderful and very easy to communicate with. I highly recommend renting this property.

I am hesitant to rave about this place because I want it to be available when we come back next year. Rented for kids spring break and has a blast. This property checks off all of the boxes. Views and sunsets are spectacular. Spent the warmer days in the boathouse and colder days looking at lake from inside.

This is a great spot on Lake Anna. We’ve stayed on the Lake before. But they setup here was great. Plenty of room for the family, nice backyard to let the kids run around and play, and great dock for boat, and Waverunner. The screened in porch on the dock was nice, and had plenty of water toys for the kids. Would definitely recommend.

Our family enjoyed a wonderful, fun-filled week at Lake Anna in this wonderful home. Loved the bright, sunny yard and boathouse. The paddle boards and kayaks were so much fun. The fish were biting. And, the game room was a hit with everyone. House was really clean and beds super comfortable. Highly recommend!

What an amazing home and beautiful location! The pictures don’t do it justice. The sloping backyard is huge, and it leads to the boathouse with its screened in porch and fire pit- perfect for making s’mores. It was great to have access to 3 kayaks and two paddle boards. It’s worth noting that the view across the lake is gorgeous- no houses, just beautiful forest. The mattresses are excellent and the kitchen is well-stocked. This was the best vrbo experience we’ve had.

We chose this location to stay to celebrate my parents 40th Wedding Annivesary. The location was picturesque, the amenities were amazing. We loved the stand up paddleboards, kayaks, and boathouse toys. The beach was perfect for the kids and we loved using the fire pit almost every night. The owners were incredibly responsive and even replaced the fridge on the same day after we had an issue with it not cooling. We could not have asked for a better stay!

We had a wonderful time with at this property. The house was lovely. There was 6 adults and 7 children on our trip. We spent most of our time fishing, floating on rafts, swimming in the lake. The beach was a perfect spot for the kids to build and play. We also enjoyed the fire pit each night. I highly recommend this rental and hope to visit again in the future. It was the perfect get- away.

Our week at your beautiful Sunset Retreat could not have been better. The house and location are beautiful and the view was wonderful. There was plenty of space for our large family (and friends) ages from 16 to 85 and the dining and sleeping accommodations were perfect. I have to use a walking aid because of mobility problems and the smooth lawn that goes down to the edge of the lake made it possible for me to be close to the younger family members as they enjoyed playing in the lake. There was no lack for recreation for everyone …. from the kayaks and paddle boards to fishing and swimming and making S’mores around the fire pit after the sun went down. Our bunch brought several jet skis with them and there was space at the dock to put them when they weren’t being used. Paul and I really enjoyed the covered and screened in sitting area at the end of the dock. We were able to watch the younger family members as they enjoyed their water activities. When the time came for us to go home, no one wanted to leave. Thank you so much for making it possible for our family to spend our vacation at your beautiful lake home.

Writing a review for this property is a double edged sword of sorts. If I tell you folks that this place is awesome then this rental may become too popular and i could lose my spot. If I lie and tell you that the place is awful then I'm not doing it justice and the owner will never rent to me again anyway. Oh well...... You'd be hard-pressed to find a more idyllic setting for a lake vacation. The neighborhood is quiet and open rolling hills, great for a morning jog or walk. I passed three cars in a week. Kids can ride bikes and scooters safely without worry. There is a great community boat ramp to launch your toys. The driveway has plenty of room to accommodate whatever vehicles you bring. We had two full size SUV's, a large pickup and a boat trailer. We never had to move vehicles to get out. When you walk in the front door you are in the large family room looking straight out to the lake. The kitchen is huge with a giant island to feed children at an prepare meals. Two huge pantry cabinets provide plenty of space for food storage. The kitchen dining area has a large table in a window filled area that overlooks the lake. So relaxing to eat dinner while watching boats ride by. The sunroom with ping pong and arcade console was a lifesaver that occupied the kids during breaks from the lake activities. The best part was the heavy sliding glass door that blocked out all of their noise. All four bedrooms (includes the bedroom over the garage) were large and will sleep a lot of people. From the family room you go through a sliding patio door to a covered porch where the grill is plumbed for constant propane supply. No tank to change!! The concrete patio of of the porch is shaded in the morning. What a great place to drink coffee and do some stretching or a workout while watching the blue heron hunt along the shoreline. The long gently sloping grass yard leads down to the boat house and another patio area with a brand new fire pit. There's one huge shade tree by the patio....a nice place to take a rest from a hot day of playing in the lake. There are two staircases into the shallow water near the dock which was a great area for children to mess around on floats. The house has two paddle boards and three kayaks to explore on. There is plenty of depth at the outside of the boathouse to accommodate any boat you bring. Close to the Food Lion, Tim's at the Lake, The Cove for gas and ice. Great vacation place!!
