Black Pearl Hostel

Great place to stay! The hostel is clean, the staff are welcoming and helpful, and the beach is just nearby. I really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and would happily stay here again.

It’s a social hostel—not really my style—but I still extended my stay because of the quality of the room. I wrote more about that in my previous review.

There’s a bar in the courtyard with a band playing until just past 11:00 PM. However, I arrived tired in the evening and fell asleep almost immediately.

stayed here for a few nights last year and for even more nights this year. Amenities: - large, high-ceilinged rooms with plenty of space between beds; - large, sturdy lockers that can be secured with a padlock; - the 8-person room included a bathroom with a sink and three cubicles (one for the toilet and two for showers); - two well-maintained swimming pools. The photos on the property's profile are accurate. Excellent cleanliness in the rooms, restrooms, and common areas. Very friendly staff. The air conditioning worked well.

Although I knew this was a social hostel—featuring a live band playing until shortly after 11 PM—rather than just a place to sleep (and I generally prefer the latter), I chose to stay here; it seemed like a reasonable compromise.

Central Canggu location.

General level of facilities fair. Poor quality pool deck chairs. Double room features fair - lighting poor in room. Bed linen could be improved.
