About this cabin rental
Bring your family and friends and fall in love with this delightful cabin and the serene north country that surrounds you and your guests. We have two other beautiful cabins on this property so you can bring all of your family and friends for relaxation, natural beauty and plenty of family/friends togetherness!
This cabin getaway is a perfect destination to enjoy the beauty of Michigan and all the seasonal activities it has to offer. Set on 20 acres, surrounded by mature maple trees and located 15 minutes from Shanty Creek/Schuss Mountain, 40 minutes to Boyne Mountain, 57 minutes to Charlevoix, 18 minutes to Lake Bellaire, 36 minutes to Torch Lake , 45 minutes to Traverse City and 1 hour to Mackinac Island!
Move in for a week or weekend and make yourself right at home. Come stay for a family retreat, family reunion, a girls getaway or a guys outdoor adventure week.
This property has rolling hills, wide open spaces for plenty of outdoor activities and spectacular views to the West to enjoy amazing sun sets.
An outdoor enthusiast's playground! In the spring, summer & fall you can hike and enjoy outdoor games on the property and in the winter you cross country ski, snowshoe right outside your door!
Extra room to park your trailers and boats on property.
Actual riding of off road vehicles is NOT permitted on our property, however, nearby there is access to state maintained trails that will give you hours of outdoor adventure!
Antrim County allows snowmobiles and off road vehicles on the shoulder of the roads to enjoy the area or get to trail heads. You can do this right from the cabin by driving on our road out to the shoulder and then to the trails. We also have plenty of space right outside your door to park your trailer and sleds.
The quaint town of Bellaire is only a ten minute drive from the cabin. Short's Brewery on main street, as well as many other great restaurants, distilleries, and local shops.
If it is night life you are looking for, you can take a 50 minute scenic ride to Traverse City or Petoskey, Boyne medium size cities with plenty of shopping, live entertainment and a wide variety of restaurants to choose from!
Also on site is our Maple Ridge Event Center will be fully renovated and ready for weddings, reunions, graduation parties, birthday celebrations, bridal/baby showers, anniversary parties, retirement parties, etc.
We no longer offer cable TV, instead have brand new 55" Smart TV for you to enjoy!

We only take reservations and payment through VRBO.
RATES:
* $425/$500night - seasonal rates may apply
(up to 14 people in beds) 2 night min. stay - Low Season 4 night min. stay High Season
* Price varies due to the season
* $10 per extra person per night (beyond 16 people)
* $500 security/damage deposit
The $500.00 deposit for Damage protection will be fully refunded within 7 business days departure unless there is something damaged that needs to be fixed or housekeeping charges extra for excess cleaning if the cabin is left very messy.

4 couples were quite comfy in this spacious home. There was enough seating/chairs and a large kitchen table to accommodate us all. The additional tables behind the sofa provided a “snack bar” area as there isn’t much kitchen counter space. Although we hardly cooked, the kitchen was sufficient for our needs. The outdoor seating areas also accommodated our group and our 4 cars fit in the driveway snugly. The WiFi worked well as did the YouTube tv in the living room (don’t think we used any others). My favorites: it was clean and each bedroom had its own bathroom (one bedroom on main floor had its bathroom right next to it but you have to enter it from the living room). Check in was simple! We really enjoyed our stay and our days exploring nearby areas. Luhr’s boat rental was awesome and pontooning for a day on Torch Lake was the highlight of our time together!

This property was exactly what we needed. Some of our family stayed at campground across the street which made it easy to see each other. It was quiet, felt safe, and very clean. The host was very communicable and even accommodated a last minute change in date. One thing that needs to be updated is the pictures online!

We rented this cabin for the longer weekend with family and some friends. We wanted to visit Mackinac Island and Sleeping Bear Dunes. This cabin is located about 1 hour 20 minutes from both of those location.
* PROS *
- Nice location. Well secluded from the nearby cabins. Good private space.
- Kitchen with all appliances.
- Game room with Ping pong and foosball table & other board games.
- Fire Pit outside.
- Three storied building including walk out basement that leads to fire pit.
* CONS *
- No soap or shampoo. A big downer. I have been to many VRBO and hotel rooms and all had soaps and shampoo. This one did not have any. Very frustrating experience. It doesn't cost much.
- Not enough Toilet papers. Toilet paper supply was very low. We had to buy some. The host should have them stocked a bit.
- Hardly any extra comforters (I thought there was just one extra). For the size of this cabin, they should have few more, especially they consider a sofa bed for two persons.
- No hair dryers or iron. Bathrooms were just as barebone as it can be.
Overall, it was an OK (decent) experience. There are lot of better options on VRBO for Northern Michigan area. Thanks.
