Gdansk Apartments

We had a wonderful stay in this apartment with its beautiful river view. First of all, I would like to thank Magdalena, who was always very responsive and helpful throughout our stay - a truly great host! The location is absolutely perfect, with most attractions, restaurants, and shops within easy walking distance. The view from all three windows is stunning and adds a special charm to the apartment. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you might need. The coffee capsule machine, complete with capsules, was a lovely extra touch. The keyless door code system is very convenient and easy to use. The apartment is equipped with all the comforts of home, including a washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, and a large refrigerator with a freezer. I would also like to give special thanks for the numerous electrical outlets — it's so convenient to be able to charge all your devices at the same time. There are two TVs, one in the bedroom and another in the living room. The spacious fold-out sofa in the living room comfortably accommodates additional guests, making the apartment suitable for up to four people. The Wi-Fi connection was reliable, and although the apartment is located on the first floor, it is elevated enough to provide privacy and a sense of security. Overall, this is an excellent place to stay, combining comfort, convenience, and a fantastic location. We would happily stay here again.

Most of the following points are the hosts' fault, but they may be useful for future guests to know. The apartment is located in one of the most popular and touristy areas of the city, which naturally means that the neighbourhood can be quite lively and noisy at times. If you are a light sleeper, I would recommend bringing earplugs. I would also suggest having a mosquito repellent or a plug-in fumigator. There were no mosquitoes during our stay, but many tiny midges occasionally found their way inside overnight. They were completely harmless, though from a comfort and aesthetic perspective it would have been nicer without them. One small maintenance issue worth mentioning is that the plumbing fixtures could use some attention. The taps in both the kitchen and the bathroom seemed a little loose and would benefit from being tightened or repaired. A note for larger travellers: the bathroom, and particularly the walk-in shower, may feel somewhat compact. However, this is limited to the bathroom area only - the apartment itself is very spacious and offers plenty of room overall. Other than these minor observations, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and found the apartment comfortable, well-equipped, and ideally located. One practical tip for future guests: when ordering an Uber or Bolt, it is often easier to walk a short distance away from the heart of the Old Town before requesting your ride. Parts of the historic center are located within restricted traffic zones, which means drivers cannot always access the immediate area. Walking just 2–3 streets away usually makes pick-up much smoother and helps avoid confusion for both passengers and drivers.

Unfortunately, the facilities were not in good condition: the toilet seat (half missing) and drawers under the sink were broken, apparently due to previous guests; but these could have been fixed before or during our stay. It would have been nice to have some basic toiletries (soap and shampoo) or at least a note that these are not provided. There were no coat hooks or a cabinet for hanging clothes. The WiFi router also could not connect to our devices or the televisions in the apartment. The owners replied to our messages but did not offer to help fix the problems (aside from telling us to restart the router).
