Great location, friendly staff, super clean rooms.
The bed was so uncomfortable, I have back ache and pillows were flat, and we only had one pillow each, if the bed was comfortable I would rate 10/10.

I found the location very difficult to find on foot even with the help of Google Maps! I didn't expect 5 star luxury but basics were missing. There should have been toiletries. NONE, not even soap! There were no coat hangers in the wardrobe.
No kettle was available, the kitchen was not in use. A sign said it could be dangerous and if I used it I would be reported!
There was a water boiler with paper cups and tea and coffee in reception but this was not pointed out to me. This was not available 24/7, I wanted to fill my flask as I was leaving at 3.30 am! However the staff on the reception desk were very helpful. I will not be staying there again and certainly would not recommend it!

The location and price were the only decent things about this accomodation. It was based in the centre close to everything. The price was the cheapest we found for the location.
The whole stay was awful. The room was as hot as a sauna, even with the window open and the staff just shrugged and didn’t care when we asked if we could possibly have a fan or move to another room. We were only given a small/half a toilet roll for 3 days and when we asked for another we were told no. The bathroom was disgusting and dirty. (Hair on the floor). There was no bin in the room which was very odd?! Also we were only given one towel for the 2 of us.
Yes, the price was cheap and it is student halls - so you can’t expect anything fancy. But to not be able to give a second toilet roll is bizarre or a second towel seeing as we were 2 people in one room? We still paid £120 for 2 nights. We were told if we wanted any more toilet roll to go through booking .com or buy our own. What a joke! DO NOT stay here unless there is no other option.

It was a good location for what I needed to do
The bed wasn’t made, there were towels all over the room and I wasn’t sure if they were clean or not. There was no toilet paper or toiletries in the room either

Nice staff
Bit weird stopping in a student accommodation, but it wasn’t bad

Easy to get to by car then easy to walk into town. There is a secure public car park nearby. The room and en-suite bathroom were clean, with plenty of space to put things away. The room was part of a 6-bed flat (apparently the norm for student halls nowadays) which I'm still undecided if it was a bad or good thing for a lone traveller (2 locked doors to get to room but therefore pretty isolated too if in trouble?). That said, it was all quiet and the access to a shared kitchen (also clean) was a bonus for a cuppa in the morning or to keep cold drinks in the fridge.
It was very hot and stuffy in the room as the sun hit straight into it for the best part of the day and I was there during the August heat wave. With it being a student hall there was obviously no air con and the window opened onto a fairly noisy bypass (no noise with the window shut). I'd still book it again for a practical stay but a desk fan wouldn't go amiss...
