They immediately responded to my request. Craig sent a detailed text with pictures before we arrived. His directions were super easy to follow. There were a lot of supplies there. I even did laundry. The backyard is a tranquil setting! So relaxing!

We really enjoyed our stay in Glendale. The kitchen and bathroom of the apartment are small but totally workable, for just the two of us. The living room and bedroom are light and airy, and it felt very cozy. The patio gardens are EVERYTHING!! From coffee in the morning to a glass of wine at night, Craig's sanctuary was the perfect space to hang and relax.

The property was excellent. The location was super close to everything we wanted to do, and a nice safe neighborhood . Craig the owner was excellent to deal with communicating with us ahead of time to make sure we found the place OK and to let us know if we had any questions to contact him.The patio is truly amazing, great place to relax and have coffee and breakfast in the morning and dinner in the evening. After attending a concert one evening we came home and the patio was almost magical with the lighting, water flowing and the plants. We will definitely stay here again if in the area!

We thoroughly enjoyed getting to stay at Craig and Barbra’s cozy cottage space! It was so thoughtfully curated inside and out. The bed was comfortable, the living room was nice, kitchen well appointed, and we really appreciated that the space was extremely clean and breezy with the windows open. The unit faces the garden backyard which is utterly spectacular and complete with cool views of surrounding city areas and mountains in the distance. Communicating with the hosts was easy and helpful and we hope to get to stay with them again since we had such a great time.

This was the most relaxing space. The yard water feature and yard is gorgeous and you feel completely transported out of the hustle and bustle of the city. Craig was so helpful and nice it felt like staying with an old friend. Can’t wait to come back!

We were in town visiting with our son and stayed for 4 nights at this cute, peaceful and serene, cottage! The back patio was so beautiful with all the plants and flowers and creek, waterfall, and ponds, and don't want to forget the beautiful view of Glendale and surrounding mountains. At night, the entire back patio comes alive with amazing subtle lighting effects ... almost like a cozy little dream world! The bed was very comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed. As other reviews had mentioned, the bathroom is very small, but adequate. It didn't bother us at all as it just reminded us of our camping days back in the day. Property was small but the backyard was beautiful. It was just us so small was OK. We wished it was warmer weather to enjoy the property. Some items need to be updated and ceiling fans need to be cleaned. Be careful if you use a walker or whatever. Stairs to back entrance can be a problem. The bathroom is very small so if you are a larger person or need a walker, etc. it might be an issue. The owner is very pleasant to work with!

We traveled to Glendale to attend the 2025 Rose Parade. We picked this place for its beautiful outdoor space as we were hoping to enjoy a more temperate climate while we escaped the upper midwest winter for a few days. The outdoor space was lovely with all kinds of garden art scattered about. It provided a wonderful view of the mountains off in the distance. The indoor space was clean and comfortable, with everything we needed for our home base for the parade and other outdoor activities we enjoyed during our stay. As other commenters have noted, the bathroom is rather tiny. But still it had everything we needed. There is easy access to the freeway system and a Ralph's grocery store about a mile or so from the house. We will visit again if we find ourselves in the neighborhood.

We were so happy that we chose this place for our 4 day visit in the LA area. Cozy inside and beautiful outside, it was a relaxing and enjoyable spot to return to after days of sightseeing. The apartment was great we had everything we needed and the garden area was absolutely beautiful with a pound and view of the city. Craig was very accommodating allowing us to drop off our luggage early so we didn’t have to carry around in the car. It was close to everything we wanted and having off street parking was great.

The outside space was the perfect place for our morning coffee, with patio furniture, a pergola, a canopy of trees that framed glimpses of the distant foothills, flowering shrubs, a babbling brook, and occasional visits from birds. Wonderful responsive hosts. Very clean, bright, and well-appointed vintage apartment with plenty of nice towels and linens, and tons of cabinet storage. Kitchen has basic items. Comfortable bed. Nice AC/heat units. Dedicated parking space off street. And of course, the amazing lush garden and running stream outside your door, with views from all windows. Would stay again! Of Note: The bathroom is very small (think small closet with a toilet, sink and shower just inches apart - a large person would have difficulty using it). The property is on a steep street, with access through a sloped yard and narrow steps (just a heads up for anyone with mobility issues). And there are people living right above the apartment, so you will hear the daily activities above.

You walk around the corner of the house into a little slice of heaven in the middle of the city. Craig and Barbara have created this little outdoor oasis for you to enjoy! I wandered around, just taking it all in. It was clean inside and just as described. I think the kitchen was better than the photos. Having an off-street parking space was a bonus. You will find plenty of storage for your things, but you won't be able to stop looking out the windows or sitting outside in the garden. I would love to stay here in warmer weather with the windows open, listening to the water trickling through the ponds and the fountain at night. Craig is an excellent host. He messaged me for check-in details, and to make sure everything was going well. One of the best I have met! I would love to come back here.

Finding Craig's place to stay was an absolute blessing. It provided a beautiful sanctuary while we were in LA visiting our son and his family. Although we were central to everything we needed, it certainly didn't feel like we were in such a busy city. The gardens and creek are so peaceful - such a lovely environment to enjoy a drink at the end of the day, watching the sun set over the mountains. We enjoyed a bbq with our son and grandchildren and they were made to feel more than welcome to have fun in the garden too. Craig is a wonderful host - a great judge of how much time and when to spend it with us. He willing helped with anything we needed and we thoroughly enjoyed conversations about our shared experiences and passions. We will definitely be staying here again!

wow! the cottage itself if fun, funky - an older home but beautifully maintained! the queen bed is on the smaller side, and bring your own soap, shampoo, conditioner - not provided by the host tho there's a mish mash of these items left from previous guests. the best part - the heaven-on-earth paradise back yard! the gurgling brook, the trees that canopy the yard, just amazing, beautiful! serenity at its best! every tree, every plant chosen by craig to bring forth this beautiful setting. - indeed you have a beautiful spot here on earth! enjoyed talking with you, craig, and learning some of the history of your home and cottage. we hope to be back soon!

Best Part: while the rest of LA swelters in the 90’s, waking up, making a delicious cup of coffee( that the owner has provided) opening the door to the garden and being chilly while taking in the peach and purple tones of the sunrise as it rises over the mountains, breathing in the fresh cool air while listening to the musical trickle of the water falling down through the lush landscaping on the property. A very close second best is the evening delights of the owners generously curated lightscapes that parallel the panorama of twinkling lights from the houses tucked into the surrounding mountains. Worst Part: not having nearly enough time to sit and enjoy the peaceful serenity of the garden- although we did have the opportunity to dine alfresco on our private patio one evening. Craig and Barbara were out of town while we were there, so missed the chance to meet them, but Craig reached out on several occasions to check in and make us feel welcome. We have stayed in many “bare bones” vrbo’s - and this was the opposite experience. The bed and furniture were exceptionally comfortable, and the house was stocked with everything we could possibly need while away from home. Craig has created something very special and obviously derives a great deal of pleasure from sharing it with his guests. We couldn't believe how easy it was to get downtown, and we enjoyed some really fabulous restaurants in the area- I highly recommend Raffi’s. Treat yourself by booking this charming stay!

The property is very well kept and peaceful. The location is great! The inside is quiet and cool. It was over 90 degrees outside and with the fans, shade, and location, the temp in the apartment was in the 70s. The kitchen is well stocked for basic cooking. The furniture is fairly comfortable. I felt very safe and secure. Craig lives upstairs and greeted us with kindness. He showed us the entrance and explained how things worked. He kinda said, "here is your home for your stay" (but with better wording). It was in a sincere and welcoming tone. He only has 1 rule, please don't use the hot tub as it is his sanctuary. We didn't plan on it anyway but good to know. The apartment was worth every penny.
