Puerto Caribe Hostal

There was aircon and a fan, the beds were comfortable and very clean, everything was amazing! The staff treated us with so much care, we got both dinner and lunch which was delicious and cheap!! We accidentally left our room unlocked when we left for a party, and they locked it for us and were available with the key once we came back! We also checked out very late the next day without an extra fee! Overall amazing stay and people :)

Nice stuff, clean and good breakfast. Started from there the next day to Ciudad Perdida.

What a lovely place to stay. It felt like moving back home to Mom’s house for a week. Nellie was the sweetest, most caring host. Not only did she personally make our breakfast every morning, but she also tidied up the rooms each day. She offered lots of great advice for local restaurants and places to explore, did our laundry and was always smiling. The rooms are comfortable, the AC is great. Guachaca is a bit out of the way from nearby towns and beaches, but there is a great vibe around the community, and very frequent busses in and out of town. If you don’t need a big social hostel atmosphere and you don’t mind hopping on busses to explore, Puerto Caribe is perfect.
