Oberbayern gem for a cozy weekend in nature

Definitely one of the best self-catering appartments I have stayed in! Such a cozy, well-equipped and incredibly stocked accommodation is rare to find these days. The most beautiful traditional Bayern facades greets you, leading you to the top floor where a spacious appartment awaited us. The kitchen had all the necessary things for pur group of four having a blissful weekend away in nature. The living area had the most comfy couch which was great after day of hiking. The beds were from heaven - and blockout curtains really helped for a good night’s rest. This place ia such a gem - easily accessible from train station and the best to start a multitude of hikes from. Including three photos - one of the beautiful views from the living room, and three of the breathtaking hiking scenes that can be found in the area. Martha was such a friendly host, even allowing us to store our hiking bags after check-out for a quick last morning day hike. Truly a great stay - highly recommended!

Absolutely gorgeous apartment, we loved everything about it!

This Bavarian-style apartment is amazing, the most beautiful apartment we've stayed in Europe! Big, pretty rooms with a balcony to relax on...the owners don't speak English so if that's your language, make sure your translator app is ready. On site parking. The owners live on the first floor, their son is on the 2nd, and the apartment is on the 3rd. No elevator, but we didn't have any problem with the steps (and we're on the "old" side). Easily walkable little town, we enjoyed the hike to the waterfall at the edge of town. There's not much to actually "do" in Ohlstadt but it's a great jumping-off place for the area. We had dinner at Il Duetto in Murnau am Staffelsee, about a 15 minute drive. It's an upscale pizza place in a charming little town, but they also serve other Italian dishes...food was incredible!

Apartamentul este situat la mansarda unei case tipic bavareze cu vedere la munte. Apartamentul este foarte spatios si calduros, dotat cu tot ce este nevoie. Gazda foarte prietenoasa, ne-a asteptat cu sampanie, apa, dulciuri si fructe. Paturi foarte comfortabile. O locatie perfecta pentru a merge la ski in Garmisch Partenkirchen. Parcare in fata casei.

Schöne geräumige helle Wohnung mit Balkon - Blick auf die Berge 😊 Netter Empfang - mehrere Teesorten und Kaffee für die ersten Tage vorhanden - gut ausgestattete Küche ( Wasserkocher, Kaffeemaschine ( doppelt), Mikrowelle, Thermosflasche/ -Kanne - Wohnung sehr sauber - ruhige Lage - Fön vorhanden - Bäckerei und mehrere Restaurants in der Nähe
