Condo Magnolia

Location was good for our purposes but may not suit those who want to be closer to town. About a 15 min walk back into town (left out of apt and down the hill) but thought the area 10 min the other way (left and then right at roundabout) was nicer and closer to the lido. Apt was spacious and clean. Nice size kitchen and both bathrooms were decent sizes (note it's not an en suite). Shame the balcony is onto the main road, as the view is better from the back bedroom 🙂. Still used them though. Breakfast on the kitchen balcony was also pleasant. Love the sofas! Perfect for relaxing on after a long day at the track and we had one each! 2 nice sized double bedrooms. 3rd room was smaller but had the best view - note the 2 single beds don't come apart. Plenty of wardrobe space in all rooms. Good wifi most of the time. Gill, who greeted us, was lovely, very helpful and always responded to my random texts (I did get a birthday card at Ale Hop) 🙂.

There wasn't much not to like. There was a minor issue with ants for a day or so, but that's a problem all over the island as far as I can see. Not like ants at home - are much smaller and very fast...they seem to come and go, but best to keep things sealed or in the fridge.

Appartement très spacieux avec plusieurs balcons et vue sur mer. Cuisine parfaitement aménagée et de plus, il y a 2 salles de bains, 3 chambres et un immense séjour. 2 lignes de bus menant au centre historique de Funchal sont en bas de l'immeuble. Gill (qui s'occupe de remettre les clés) est très sympathique et efficace.

Seul petit bémol, 2 des 3 chambres donnent sur une rue très passante (mais les voitures deviennent rares entre minuit/1h et environ 5/6 h du matin).
