Sunsets on the lake at Mill Pond Cottage-Pickleball, Water Sports, Hiking &more

Located on the Eastern Shores of Lake Sinissippi, Mill Pond Cottage offers high-end comfort, stunning sunset views, amazing bird watching right from the veranda (eagles, white pelicans, herons, etc) AND swimmable frontage. Do as little or as much as you wish while enjoying Wisconsin lake living!

(Our house is within an hour from Madison or Milwaukee, 90 minutes from the northern IL border.)

Spend an active lake day exploring Sinissippi’s 2,800 acres with the home’s kayaks (2), canoeing (1) or paddle boards (2), or enjoy a cocktail and a good book on any one of Mill Pond Cottage’s 3 lakeside terraces. The upper deck off the living room has a gas grill and seating for a small crowd, while the lower deck off the Master bedroom has comfortable lounge seating and a smokeless, propane fire table. Smore’s and an open fire are enjoyed on the shoreline terrace! As the hot summer sun sets, our guests appreciate the partial shade offered by the beautiful, old Oak and Maple tree canopy.

At the end of a long day, COMFORT is king, and our home delivers with air conditioning and comfortable furnishings throughout. Our 3+ bedrooms are furnished with the highest quality lines, comfortable mattresses and extra pillows. The two 2 full bathrooms have extra bath/hand towels as well as body wash, shampoo and conditioner.

The main level’s Queen Bedroom sleeps two, and the twin bedroom, 2 twin beds, also sleeps two. The lower level’s Master bedroom sleeps 2, while the comfortable TV room is furnished with a twin day-bed, sleeping 2. The main level’s full bathroom is a tub/shower combination, while the lower level’s full bathroom is a shower only.

Enjoy dining in with the home’s well-maintained, clean gas grill, or prepare delicious meals in the full kitchen with brand new stainless steel appliances. The kitchen is well-stocked with many of the comforts of home, including a good inventory of pots, pans, gadgets, dinnerware, and flatware.

The laundry room is equipped with a quality washer and dryer and laundry detergent is provided.

Please take special note of the following:

You will notice in the pictures, the home’s lakeside exterior is terraced in design. Please take this into account when booking if you have persons in your group who may have difficulty navigating the use of stairs, some of which do not have railings.

Please book for the total number of people who are going to be there at any given time, whether it is part of the time or the entire time. The house is base priced for 4 people. You will see that additional guests above that are $15 per person, per night. Renter will enter rental agreement acknowledging that the number of guests booked and paid for will be enforced.

There is a 4-night minimum in July.

Mill Pond Cottage’s short-list of restrictions:

1) Smoke-free home, inside and outside
2) No pets (no exceptions)
3) No more than 8 people on the premises at any time. This includes the number of guests in your party as well as any outside visitors.
4) Not rented to anyone under the age of 25
5) Please be respectful of the neighbors. Mill Pond Cottage is located next to other family residences, and, understandably, they will not appreciate loud music or raucous behavior.
6) There is no guarantee that the pier will be in the water before May 15th or after October 15th.

Lastly, if you request to book, please tell us something about you and who will be visiting. This is not just a rental. It is a family home and we are discerning about who will be there. We have been fortunate that all of our guests, many repeat, treat the home as it is their own.
