Hazards Hideaway

April 2026 - From the photos I thought this property was completely isolated. It is very private and feels like a bit of coastal paradise in a cul-de-sac of houses. The best of both worlds. The views from every conceivable room - even the bathroom! - gives this house a serenity we very much enjoyed. And for me, of the 3 places we stayed so far in Tasmania, this was my favourite bed! Comfortable, supportive, nice linens and fluffy pillows. And an electric blanket! But admitted we didn’t find the controls for one side until we were leaving as that was tucked under the mattress! Easy to do. The bathroom is very big, the full kitchen was used and we liked the coffee machine! We spied a cute wallaby at dusk in the nicely designed garden! Lovely place, easy to be here much longer than the 2 nights we stayed. Everything was clean and tidy when we arrived. It took us a minute to find the info on the wifi - a framed notice on the wall. We’re a bit old-school and were looking for the book. And only small comment because I’m very short, the benches in the bathroom are very tall! Taller than normal. And apparently you’re not allowed to light the fire until May. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Though we completely understand the reason, we were excited to see the wood-burning stove and sad we couldn’t have the fire because of the fire restrictions.

Location, views, cleanliness

Location was amazing. Very comfortable and clean.

Nicely presented property with great views.

House was advertised as two bedroom but only had one. Did not feel welcome with multiple notes on cleaning etc with little digs about being back charged if not.
