Recapturing bygone days, the completely renovated 2 bedroom 1 bath "Palaka" Vacation Cottage draws one back to the days of the sugar industry's plantation cottages. Palaka Cottage and Umetsu Cottage (VRBO #1165445) next door are a rare find. Palaka Cottage offers two comfy Queen beds, covered lanai with tropical landscape, cold A/C and outdoor shower. Located directly across from the iconic Hanalei Bay. Walk to Hanalei town or Hanalei pier.
This is a Mana Kaua'i Island Vacations home and we follow many practices that support regenerative tourism. We do the work so you don't have to.

We had a lovely stay at the Palaka cottage. Waking up with kids, going on the lanai for breakfast, and walking to the beach were a joy. The space was perfect, the amenities were fantastic, and the outdoor shower turned out to be clutch especially showering off the littles after a day at the beach.

For us, the cottage was perfect in every way. We like to keep our time on the north shore simple. We rented bikes and only used the car for specific outings. We walked the beach, swam the ocean, used the outdoor shower, and lived on the lanai except when we were in the gardens. The cottage is lovely and equipped with everything we needed. Mahalo Kauai, for allowing us to share in your island life for a time.

Close to the Hanalei pier, beach and town. Fantastic location. This is a perfect rental for relaxation.
