Excellent Place

Location in Hatcher was great for us, we love being close to the national forest, its a little drive from town but not bad. The place was great, communication with manager was very good. An extremely well-equipped kitchen, great bedroom layout, and new carpet in those rooms. Nice floor in the main living space, back deck and backyard was very nice with good hiking right from it.

We had a wonderful stay in this very comfortable home. The master bedroom was huge. Even the closet was large enough to be a "wrapping room" for our Christmas gifts. The kitchen was well-stocked and so was the wood pile for the wood-burning stove. We had lots of snow while we were there and really enjoyed watching people snowmobile & snowshoe in the National Forest beyond the backyard. We had to shovel the walk & driveway almost daily but there was a snow blower that made the job easier.

We hiked every day and it was great to access trails right from the backyard! The house smelled slightly of pets upon arrival and the master bathroom had strong odor of litter box, and there were pet stains on carpet in two of the rooms. But since we brought our dogs we didn’t let that bother us. We enjoyed a home cooked Thanksgiving meal and we were grateful they had most every pot/pan we needed. My mom brought her own roaster. My children loved it there and we all felt right at home! I would recommend this home to anyone with children and dogs!

My family and i enjoyed our stay. Jason was wonderful with communication during our stay. House has plenty of room, comfortable beds and all the kitchen amenities you need. We did not bring our pets, but a great place for your pets as Jason and his wife has special amenities for your pets. Very close to town and the national forest is just right outside the neighborhood. You do have to trailor your ATV'S to national forest entrance but its literally like 2 minutes to get there. The only thing that i would have personally wanted to know before renting is the location. We personally wanted something more secluded, but came to find this property in a neighborhood with very close neighbors. If you want something close to town and close to entrance of forest then i totally recommend, but just know you are in an HOA neighborhood if that matters to you. Overall, wonderful time, nice clean place and owners are very nice and try their best to make you feel at home.

Property was very nice and family had a great time on our trip. Kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need. The owners really put a lot of thought into making things convenient and making sure you have what you need. Our dogs were happy and enjoyed playing in all the snow. My son said his shower wasn’t warming up (he took a couple chilly showers) so we just had him use the master shower after that. Overall, a very nice relaxing vacay.

We really enjoyed our stay and appreciated that the owners make pets feel welcome, with extra bowls, treats, pet waste bags, etc. The location was perfect, with trails right out the back door. This was last minute trip for our family to take a break post-holidays and our day to day COVID life of working and schooling from home. Jason has helpful and always quick to respond to any questions. The home was cozy and everyone settled in quickly. The location is convenient to Wolf Creek Ski area and many other area attractions. The trails behind the home were great and our dog waited by the backdoor each morning for a walk in the snow. Thank you for a great stay!

This cute place is nestled in a neighborhood close to town but not too far out. Fantastic back yard that leads right into a trailhead. Home has everything you can think of - fully stocked kitchen, sleds, smart TV setup, precut firewood. Plenty of space to cook and hang out. The listing photos really do not do this home justice. We enjoyed it so much!!

We had a great stay at Fox Run over Thanksgiving. The house was well-stocked and well-taken care of. I was able to cook a Thanksgiving meal and my family loved all the board games provided. It was close enough to town and skiing while still being able to enjoy the outdoors from your backyard. We enjoyed walking through the National Forest right behind us. Jason was a fabulous host and responded ASAP to all our questions. We can't wait to return!

We loved this place! So peaceful and relaxing. Was a little disappointed that there was no A/C as listed in the amenities, but box fans in the windows worked just fine. It was also amazing to have afternoon showers every day! Great view and overall, probably the best place we’ve ever stayed in Pagosa! Thanks for a great family week!

This home had all of the equipment and furnishings to make for a comfortable experience. It is located near all of the outdoor activities this area has to offer: hiking, fishing, rafting and soaking in the hot springs. An interesting National Park is within a short driving distance as well as a narrow gauge railroad that runs along a scenic river. There are many benefits to staying here.

We enjoyed our stay with our children. It was amazing that we were able to experience a wonderful scenery of pine trees with white snow. It was truly "winter wonderland". The house is just as described. It is also near town and near Wolf Creek Ski Area Resort. It was very comfortable that we felt right at home. We would definitely return here for our stay.

The house was lovely! Clean and comfortable. In a wonderful, scenic area with lots of trails and hiking. Jason could not have been more accommodating, even had driveway shoveled after it snowed to ensure guests had easy and safe access to house. Happy to recommend!

Quick response from owner. Comfortable place in a neighborhood, bordering miles of low traffic Turkey Spring trails (beginner if mountain biking). Thoughtful touches including extra linen, well supplied kitchen, extra doggie bags and room in the garage for bikes and ski equipment. Plenty of room at the dining room table for 6 (which I wasn't sure about from the pictures), and could have added at least another 2 people. Enjoyed the pretty view out back with snow on Thanksgiving Day. About 45 minutes to Wolf Creek ski area. Will need to make a refundable deposit of $1500-1750 or pay $50-60 for the insurance (in addition to the total price listed prior to booking, possibly standard for VRBO properties.)

Hikers dream

Hikers dream

There is literally a trail from the steps off the deck that leads into the National Forest and joins miles of other trails. There is a wealth of things to do around Pagosa Springs and we never tired of the area in the month we were there. The cabin is convenient and has everything you need. The front of the cabin faces a growing subdivision but the back faces a long meadow in the National Forest. We saw deer daily, a fox, a porcupine and lots of birds at the cabin. Thumbs up.
