Key West Wabi Sabi is a quintessential 1930s cottage that embodies the beauty and simplicity of island-life charm. If you’re looking to be in the heart of Old Town yet want your own pool and parking space, 506 Bahama is a perfect choice for your trip. You’ll be right off Duval Street, directly across from Fausto’s Food Palace for groceries and necessities, but tucked away enough for that real vacation recharge. This thoughtfully renovated retreat preserves the home’s original character and vintage Key West vibe while embracing an ideal indoor-outdoor feel. The open-concept great room and kitchen lead seamlessly to a private deck and pool framed by happy foliage and a hand-painted mural. Our guests love making Key West memories here and often rebook Key West Wabi Sabi.

The home offers four bedrooms and sleeps up to 8 people. Each room has its own vibe: a lofted master suite with a king-sized bed, a vintage vanity, a split unit A/C and full bathroom; another large downstairs room with a comfy king bed and full bath; a cozy third bedroom with a trundle bed and a half bath; and a fourth bedroom with another king bed and its own bathroom. The cottage is great for gathering yet offers enough private space for everyone to find their own mid-vacation reprieve if needed.

Humidity which I expect, was over the top. I’m from South Carolina so I know. Dehumidifier had to be emptied 2-3 times per day. Musty/mold smell was over the top. Two of the mini split ac units were not functioning properly. Window unit in living room/kitchen area was so loud, we had to turn it off to watch tv. Called and text property manager several times asking about early check in, no response. Positives, great location and cool little cottage. Place was clean and pool was awesome after walking in the heat all day.

Great location to Duvall, shopping, and excellent restaurants! We loved being able to hang by the pool with our local critters everyday! We appreciated the responsiveness of the staff when we had questions & when accommodating our requests! Highly recommend

The house is in a great location. Within walking distance to Duval Street, Mallory Square and the marinas and restaurants. Everyone in our party loved their rooms and found it very comfortable. The house is also very well equipped with whatever you might need. My only issue was the shower in back bedroom and bathroom didn’t get hot. Literally every shower was ice cold. I contacted host but didn’t get response until our stay was almost up. They said the shower faucet was finicky. But I tried everything and could not get it to be hot. The weather was pretty warm when we were there so it wasn’t terrible but still would have liked a hot shower. All the other bathrooms worked fine.

The property agent who contacted us, Audrey, was amazing. She went above and beyond to decorate the house for my daughter’s 18th birthday. So personal and thoughtful. The house is very cute, a little bit of a tight space but very quirky Key West style and layout. Location is amazing- walking distance to everything. Parking is very limited, they mean it when they say 1 compact car in the listing. The pool is small but paying for the heat to be turned on worked out really well.

Overall the property was great!! BUT right off the bat there were ants all over the kitchen counter, stove, sink, etc. No where else really - just the food area. There was a note that said - pests are common in the tropics and no refunds for pests. It specifically named ants. Perfect... UGH.. In less than a minute - I could see the problem - it was obvious that there was food and grease etc along the stove and counter. So, we pulled out the stove -- GROSS!! Seriously - I'm sure it has not been cleaned in forever. OBVIOUSLY you are going to have an ant problem if you NEVER clean the side of the stove, under it or behind it. It was frustrating because it is so dumb and avoidable!! Just a gross way to start a vacay!! So we bought all kinds of ant baits - put them everywhere and never cooked anything cuz... I didn't trust anything to be clean. Sad really - cuz it really is a cute little house and setup!!

This home was perfect for our vacation! We chose Wabi-Sabi because of the number of bedrooms and bathrooms. As a party of 4 couples it was important for everyone to have their own space. Secondly, the location sold the home. It was 1 block from the center of Duval St which made walking everywhere a breeze! We happened to visit during a heat wave so the pool was a lifesaver. Overall, Wabi-Sabi met all of our needs and was very comfortable and enjoyable.

Property is generally as listed. Very convenient to most of downtown but far enough away to not keep you up. We cooked out one night on the grill, but sadly I think the grill is one it's last days. If looking some place where you can do some cookouts ask if the grill has been replaced. Great stay and had the fun we were looking for.

The home was lovely. Beds were comfortable and home was clean. We loved having our coffee in the quaint back yard and took several dips in the small pool. The wasteful was a nice touch. Our only complaint would be noise from the delivery trucks at the grocery store in front of the home. I had the front bedroom and it was loud.one delivery truck arrived at 5:45. I didn’t mind so much because I was anxious to start my day, but that was just a little earlier than I had planned. Otherwise, location is perfect. I would stay here again.

So loved the backyard! The temps were cooler than normal so for an extra $100 we got to bump up the temp of the pool. It was so worth it and made our stay enjoyable. Maybe could update the chairs in the living room. The living room was small but since we spent most of our time in the backyard it didn’t matter. The staff was wonderful and so attentive to any of our needs.

The house is absolutely adorable, and it fit 6 adults (3 couples) comfortably. We had a lot of fun out by the pool. Everything is within walking distance. We parked the car and never used it again until we left. Our biggest complaint would be the tile in the kitchen. lots of broken and loose tiles. (sharp and dangerous) The upstairs room was hot when we first arrived but cooled down and was comfortable sleeping. Our friends that stayed in the room off the kitchen said they could not regulate the water temp in the shower. The couple that stayed in the front rooms only complaint was the delivery trucks at 5am for the grocery store next door. But we knew that when we booked. And the grocery store has everything! even a hot food bar. Beds were comfy, plenty of towels. Pool/patio area was amazing. Key west is hot in August. Would love to come back during a cooler month and open up all the double doors and have a cool breeze flow through. We would love to stay again, Just please fix those tiles!

We came with friends to enjoy the Rokisland fest and absolutely loved this property and enjoyed having our own pool.. The only thing that I would recommend to change would’ve the couch, it wasn’t very comfortable but the outside area totally makes up for it!! We definitely enjoyed our stay and would stay here again!

This house was wonderful for our group for Mile 0 Fest! Check-in/out was super easy and they provide easy to understand directions. It was the perfect location to access our favorite venues and for the most part was quiet. The front bedroom is loud in the mornings with all the trucks making deliveries to the grocery store as well as garbage trucks and street sweepers. The other bedrooms were quiet and they provide box fans which helps cut out the noise. The backyard was beautiful and cozy! We used the pool 2x for a relaxing soak at the end of the day. My only complaint is the single-ply toilet paper provided. We hope to stay here again!

We had a great time in this comfy rental! Small, but spacious and well done remodel. Our family and friends had privacy and plenty of room to be together, and we felt very at home here. The plunge pool was just great for an evening splash to cool off after a day/night of playing. Location is great to be able to spend time exploring all the fun on Duval, but secluded from the craziness. A short walk to the harbor or southernmost point and everything between. *Of note…there is a great little grocery store just across from the rental, but early morning deliveries are noisy. Don’t put your light sleepers in the front bedroom. Located just around the corner from Clemente’s where we maybe had the best meal of the week!!!

It's a good house and a good neighborhood (renters need to be told that loud food delivery trucks are busy ALL DAY and at very EARLY hours that did cause us some issue...but we were still grateful for the store and the convenience) .A good pool (fountain and lights are lovely. the size was tiny, but the photo depicted that well.) Beds were comfortable and the bedding was great on all but one bed. (my sheet had "fabric bumps/peeling" and "stains"). Our stay was good as we always make the best of situations, but there are just some odd things about this home. The obvious DIY remodeling with "make shift" closets, strange space in front bathroom, front door of house on a bedroom, flooring in serious need of repair in bathroom off of kitchen (extra rugs had to be placed to prevent tile cutting guests feet...bad!) NOTE: 3 bathrooms have pretty decorative glass, but allows no privacy to those in the bathroom. I was at the kitchen sink on first day and gasped when i realized i could see straight into the bathroom of my friend's room. The ½ bath has a decorative window right off the main entrance...no privacy. The upstairs bath has filtered glass, but still...no privacy. (we all found it very odd.) Also, the upstairs loft bedroom furnishings had to be totally rearranged so that the foot of the bed wasn't 18 inches from the edge of the stairwell...causing concern for a major trip and fall. My friends who stayed up there also really disliked showering in the antique tub (although cute) as the shower curtain would stick to them and was not practical for its intended purpose. The bathroom rugs in all bathrooms need to be replaced or just removed to use foot towel?bathmat only. The nik naks in living room and kitchen are old, with vases of faded flowers, and to be honest look sad next to the beautiful sofa and pretty decor colors. The round dining table had a sticky surface from the paint breakdown due to repeated cleaning. While this is understandable due to covid and rental use, a glass top or a table cloth provided would have been nice. (we had to use an extra sheet as a table cloth to be able to eat and play games there.) While there were many things that were not expected nor up to VRBO standards, I would still be able to recommend this property for its geographic area and the property management was very good! Cheers to successful future and repairs for nice updates!
