The property was nestled aside a rock face that was host to an array of birds and nestled in a very quiet and lovely Cul de sac-Close to amazing golf and amenities at Bear Mountain and just a short drive to Victoria.Wonderful walking paths and restaurants close by.The home was lovely, clean with a great soaker tub and very comfortable king sized bed. We slept extremely well at this peaceful spot. The owners were responsive and check in was easy and convenient. Enjoyed having the use of the garage for golf equipment.A terrific stay and we hope to be back!

This is a superlative property with a wonderful view and all the amenities including reasonably close to services and hiking trails. The layout of the building is very practical and it was exceptionally clean - my wife and I absolutely loved being there. Check-in was a breeze. The hosts are responsive with communication and accommodating. We will be back at some point in the near future.

My family enjoyed our stay at this property. It's tucked at the end of a quiet cul de sac on a shared, steep driveway with a house further in back. The main living area upstairs is cozy, but plenty adequate for a small family. The lower floor great for storage and has a laundry room. The kitchen had plenty of space to prepare meals and the natural lighting and view was perfect. My children enjoyed watching the fish pond and I felt confident having them in this house due to the cleanliness. Do note that if you have very small children (probably not the usual clientel) the stairs pose a safety concern so a baby gate would be a good thing to pack -- one of ours was not mobile when we booked. Close to outdoor adventures and about thirty minutes from more urban tourist activites, it was a great location to hub from. I would definitely consider staying here again.

Thank you for the privilege of staying at "Quails Run Retreat" on Bear Mountain. My family and I enjoyed our stay immensely. The location was amazing. Driving up Bear Mountain was always a delight. The morning view out the living room was spectacular. The place was immaculate, from it's cleanliness to the availability and use of all it's amenities. If asked about a place to stay in Victoria, I would 100% recommend "Quails Run Retreat" on Bear Mountain. It will be the only place we will stay on our next visit.

My husband and I wanted a place to stay where we could access downtown Victoria, but also be convenient to trails and other outdoor activities. This place was perfect. Location: 30 minute easy drive to the heart of Victoria, and 15 minutes from many, many trailheads. We walked through temperate rain-forests and up rocky cliffsides. So easy to access! We were also very convenient to groceries, etc. and in an absolutely lovely, quiet neighborhood. Owners are nearby, but completely unobtrusive. Quality: we have stayed in a lot of VRBOs, and this was one of the nicest. Just the quality of kitchenware, sheets, etc. was superb. They even supply some plastic wrap, coffee filters, laundry soap, etc. so you don’t have to buy everything! The place is not large, but it was plenty for the two of us. We would definitely stay here again if we ever make it back to Vancouver Island!

We came here over New Years for my birthday. The property was as described and close to everything we wanted to do. We went to the Hand of Man Museum which is north of Victoria by 50 miles, but we’ll worth the drive. Stoped at the Manahat walkway. The views were great as the lowland fog had just cleared as we got to the top.

Quails Run Retreat can simply be surmised in one word, "Superior". Attention to detail and all the awesome amenities set a very high standard that others can only hope to emulate. Clear instructions and procedures allow for a seamless check-in/out. The superb coach-house is tucked away on a safe, tranquil and premiere location within Bear Mountain coupled with close proximity to all one's needs and more with Victoria just a few minutes away. Everything about this rental experience was terrific. Communication with the owners was seem less, and the property was even nicer than the pictures! Bear Mountain is a real gem of a community, and this was a great alternative to staying at the actual hotel nearby. Would hesitate to recommend this rental to anyone. Enjoyed our stay immensely!

We thoroughly enjoyed our biking vacation on Vancouver Island. Lochside Trail and Galloping Goose Trail were wonderful and it was great to have a perfect home base with secure bicycle storage, comfortable bed, and well equipped kitchen. The accommodation was everything we wanted and we will be returning in the future. The location of the rental was quiet, peaceful and away from the crowds in Victoria. As well as its location at Bear Mountain Resort, it was near major stores like Costco and Save On Foods in Langford.

They have thought of everything! The lovely sheets, terribly comfortable bed, fast wi-fi all the way down to a cheese plate and large salad bowls! We loved this house and were sad that we were only there for three weeks. My husband will miss the songs that all the brand new LG appliance would sing when he started them up! THANK YOU!

This property was exactly as displayed on the VRBO site. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. Even though we did not use the ensuite laundry facilities it was nice to have them available. The attached garage was a real bonus for loading and unloading our gear. We would stay again!
