About this apartment rental

Sunny south side studio condo with air-conditioning. This extra spacious (520 square feet) studio-style condo with lush garden view.

The studio has a separate kitchen area and small dinette area, but the bed and the sofa, chair, end tables and coffee table, and TV are all in one large room. There is a hallway at the back of the unit with shelving and a dresser, on the way to the bathroom. There is no lanai on this condo.

Very short walk to a great snorkeling beach or Enjoy a refreshing dip in the resort's swimming pool just steps from your condo.

Grill some fresh island fish and your other favorite foods on the shared barbecue or Dine at one of Poipu's many fine restaurants and cafes. Tantalizing menus offer a wide variety of cuisines.

Other activities nearby include swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving, biking, sailing, fishing, surfing, shopping, tennis and golf. Tee off at two Poipu courses designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. -- Kiahuna Golf Club and Poipu Bay Resort Golf Course, former site of the prestigious PGA Grand Slam of Golf.

We enjoyed our stay very much. It was early May, but we were still happy to have the portable AC unit & used it. There is a small beach across the street that has really good snorkeling. You just need to watch for the rocks when getting in & out of the water on a windy day. The property was nice & a short driving distance to restaurants & Poipu beach. My only complaint would be that the shower is very small & the shower curtain was problematic, but nothing major. It was great that there was snorkeling gear & other beach items that had been left by prior guests that we were able to use. Almost everything is really expensive in Kauai, so just be prepared for that. Overall, we had a wonderful time & would definitely stay at this location again.

This small (essentially studio) apartment packs an amazing number of amenities. Everything you need. Pool is great. Location excellent for excursions. Pretty much equidistant to Waimea and western attractions and Wailea (East) and the Nepali coast (North). Walk to a choice snorkeling beach across the street. Poipu beach is a 5 minute drive.

Wonderful location in Poipu! Awesome to have snorkel gear, beach chairs, towels, and an umbrella for beach days. Nice view of the pool and tropical gardens, and a walk downstairs and around the building led to being able to see the ocean. Well furnished, good condition of cookware and appliances, and easy parking (the Lawai Beach Resort was the most convenient). Thank you for having us!

The property was really nice but the bathroom and kitchen were pretty dirty. Shower curtain had mold and shower had a lot of soap scum and fridge had sauce on the side. Nothing a magic eraser couldn’t fix.

For what we needed it was perfect.

This property was nice, close to beaches and restaurants and had all basics in the room (dishes, utensils, etc.), our main complaint would be the bathroom and shower. The shower was extremely small and the curtain and floor of it was kind of gross, and the sliding bathroom door itself was falling off its rail. My wife and I both reached out (via phone and email) about this being our honeymoon and we wanted something special but no luck. My wife was told to call the concierge but no one ever answered after several attempts.

The property is beautiful. I will definitely stay here again. Maybe not this unit. It was advertised as having air conditioning. The air conditioner was plugged into the wall with a note that said electricity is really high so don’t use this if you don’t need it or something like that. The thing didn’t even work. The sole reason I got that room was because it said air-conditioned. My travel partner was adamant about that one thing. The only other thing I’ll say is the shower was filthy. Somebody needs to get in there with some deep cleaner and scrub scum. The groundskeeper‘s and housekeepers an office manager everybody was an A+

This place is simple and perfect. It has everything you need, including boogie boards, beach chairs, umbrella and beach towels. The beach is right across the street and great snorkeling is close by and many other locations as well. Bed is comfortable it is a great layout. We loved it!

The studio at Prince Kuhio Condos was perfect for us. The complex is small and private. Our last vacation was at a resort that was huge and busy and the staff was constantly trying to sell us time shares. This was so much more calm and relaxing. Just our speed. The complex is lush with beautiful plants, trees, landscape and a koi pond. It is walking distance to a couple small beaches and about a mile from Po’ipu Beach where we spent most our time. Google it, that beach is the best! Turtles come in every night around 7pm. The room is exactly as advertised in the virtual tour. There are beach chairs, umbrella, boogie boards and pool noodles for use and we used them daily. The AC is a small unit but there are fans too that help cool the room. The shower is very small, but we made it work. I loved it and I would definitely rent there again.

I made my travel plans later than usual this year due to Covid, so had to “settle” for what was left (214 is smaller, has no lanai, has only a free standing AC, window right next to the stairwell, no sleeper sofa). As usual, some of the reviews were concerning, but it turned out to be totally fine. The AC worked great. I bought damp rid due to the reviews of humidity in the bathroom area, but there was minimal issue. It was spacious enough for me and my college age son. Beach chairs and umbrella were in great shape. Internet and TV worked great. Shower is super tiny. No salt/pepper/spices/oil/etc as I’ve been used to in other units (Covid rules?, but inconvenient). Remember, PK’s is great for the money..you can’t beat it in Poipu, but do not expect luxury. It is an older place, and feels it, but is nicely maintained with beautiful grounds. Even this less desirable unit was fantastic for the price if expectations are reasonable,

Sure, it wasn't the most luxurious, or dialed in, but we didn't come to Kauai to sit in the condo all day...

We wanted to literally walk across the street and go snorkeling, and be able to return to a clean spacious studio and relax before adventuring out again...Evening swims in the pool were necessary and comfortable...The staff at Kauai vacations are very friendly and helpful...All is good...

Maintenance should mop the floors thoroughly every time a guest checks out. After just 2 minutes of walking barefoot in the room and kitchen my feet became dirty. Yuck! This is minor compared to the bathroom problem. A major problem of the bathroom is the super compact shower area. I'm 5'5" and my wife is shorter, and the shower area was tiny even for us. My elbow kept hitting the walls and there was water all over the bathroom floor as a result. I recommend this room 50:50 due to these 2 problems. The other amenities in the room and kitchen are good. Garden area is great with sounds of birds chirping all day (April 2022).

I really like the accommodations for visiting my local family. Pool is quiet and my daughter and granddaughters came a couple of times. Very nice. Only issue to point out is there was a large cockroach In my unit. I did deal with him, but probably time for an exterminator. I would come back.

Good clean place conveniently located to beaches, dive and snorkeling spots, and varied food options. Price was fair. People were friendly and quiet mostly. Beach going equipment in the condo for leisure usage was excellent. Good stay. Overall rating is 4 stars just because condo design does not enable a good cross breeze draft..AC was needed to cool down the space but it didn’t effectively cool the space as the space may be too much for the portable AC to handle. Fans helped but would prefer a condo design with windows and doors on multiple sides of condo to enable better natural ventilation. Mahalo
