Less than a mile from the Blue Ridge Parkway 469 miles of scenic history, the Blue Ridge Parkway is an official All-American Road and National Parkway. Taking 52 years it was completed in 1987. This famous piece of American history winds its way along the mountainsides through the heart of the Appalachian Mountains, the Blue Ridge Mountains, Spanning from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park to the Shenandoah National Park.
