The Sanders' home was exactly as advertised. We had a wonderful week there. The kitchen has everything one could need, the beds comfy, the screened in deck on the beach serene. We've been to Edisto Beach several times, but this is the first time we've stayed at this property. We would definitely stay here again and I recommend it to anyone looking to vacation on Edisto Beach.

Truly enjoyed our time here. My elderly parents spent a lot of time on the screened in porch and were able to go to the beach because it was such a short walk. We brought our dogs and they loved the beach. Bring k cups for the coffee maker and dish soap. Linens and towels provided were good quality. Mattresses are probably due for replacement. Ice maker didn’t work, but there were ice trays to fill. Excellent outdoor shower (with hot and cold water) and hose pipe for cleaning up after the beach. We loved the house. It was very cozy. Bring a radio if you need one. Roku tvs we’re very nice, equipped with YoutubeTV so we could watch our gamecocks plays.

In 40 years of rentals at Edisto Beach, our favorite destination from our WNC mountains, Sanders’ Oceanside Cottage was far and away the best. There aren’t enough superlatives to describe it. We three couples and a dog enjoyed friendly accommodations for both our collective & individual pursuits. The three bedrooms & bathroom are on one side like a bungalow, with living/family room, cozy kitchen, and dining nook with a roomy table on the other. … The kitchen appliances—range/oven, microwave, plus washer & dryer—are new (and nicer than our own back home!) No dishwasher but there’s a roomy sink, good counter lighting, and we enjoyed doing dishes as a group enterprise. Note: We cooked in for all but our last night (a happy splurge at the Old Post Office!), so we used all the cottage’s (excellent) pots, pans, dishes, utensils & accoutrements (nicer than any other beach house), so made great use of the space. The Sanderses had rearranged the furnishings to accommodate our group, so hanging out & talking were much more fun. After dinner, a few of us remained to watch movies on the flat-screen TV while the rest returned to the dining nook to play cards or just watch the moon from the porch. The bedrooms were quiet, not disturbed by the TV. Mostly we gravitated directly to the oceanfront screened porch & sounds of the surf mere feet away. … And that porch! Just beyond the dining nook, it features five rocking chairs we occupied all day long. At the far end is a round table & four chairs, quickly commandeered by two husbands with a bazillion-piece jigsaw puzzle. The view is bliss. Between beach runs, our dog rested to gaze out at sandpipers. That porch was the heart of our visit, its sights, sounds, & peace. … Sorry to go on so but it really was wonderful. A few house details before I close: couch & armchairs were clean & cozy, decor bright, tasteful, not overdone. Bedrooms had matching pillows & quilts; the spotless bathroom had full-size bathtub & adjustable shower head; half bath below the house is older but so clean & served us well. The linen service provided soft, clean sheets, extra blankets, and more bath towels than we could use. The housekeeper was fantastic, kindly accommodating one couple who arrived a bit early, & her cleaning showed skill & care. The departure checklist was easy but departing hard. We loved it. We’ll be back. Thanks for everything.
