We liked everything about our stay. The host was very helpful with everything, the rooms were spacious and quiet, beds were comfortable. We stayed for two nights at the beginning of our trip and came back to stay for our last night in Morocco. If we wanted to stay at the Medina of Marrakesh again, we would choose Dar Hajar.

The location is excellent, everything is close by. We truly experienced the authentic spirit of the medina and old Marrakesh. The accommodation is great for the price. The host is kind, hospitable and available.

We had a wonderful 4-night stay at Dar Hajar from 22–26 January and would happily recommend it.
Abdul Aziz was an amazing host — genuinely warm, welcoming, and always more than happy to help with anything we needed. He really went out of his way to ensure our stay was comfortable, from arranging assistance to checking in on us throughout our visit.
The location is excellent, right in the heart of the medina, making it easy to explore while still feeling like a peaceful retreat. Breakfast on the terrace was a real highlight — delicious and a lovely way to start the day.
The apartment itself was spacious and very comfortable for our group of six adults. The showers were fantastic, with extremely hot water available at all times and no issues at all with supply.
The only minor disappointment was related to the weather rather than the property. January was unusually cold and wet during our stay, especially in the evenings and at night, and there was only one heater available, which struggled to warm the whole space. Having heaters in each room would have made a big difference in those conditions. That said, this was exceptional weather and not typical for the time of year.
Overall, it was a fantastic stay with a truly attentive host — we felt very well looked after and would gladly stay here again.
