This charming two level home, with its light & airy atmosphere, offers a relaxed and cozy setting on top of sunny Park Hill. Moonstone Beach, Shamel Park & the Fiscalini Ranch Preserve are all within easy walking distance. The house itself offers a large & comfortable living/dining area with pitched ceilings, lots of windows & a gas free standing fireplace. There are 2 spacious bedrooms with queen size beds & 2 full baths. In addition, there is a sitting room/loft area located off the master bedroom that has its own deck with views to the pretty backyard area. Fully equipped kitchen with microwave & dishwasher has everything you need for those times you prefer dining in. Outfitted with TV/VCR/DVD and Cable TV, CD/Tape/Radio/Stereo player as well as wireless internet. This home also features a private garden, three decks, garage, Weber charcoal BBQ & a washer/dryer.

Pelican Cottage is a quiet retreat that will allow you to enjoy the beauty of Cambria. Walk on the beach, stroll along the bluff trail & see local wildlife or enjoy the tranquility of your immediate surroundings at the home itself. It is also easy to catch the local 'Otter Trolley' into the Village of Cambria for shopping, dining or just getting to know our beautiful coastal community. Hearst Castle is within a 15 minute drive of the house, as well as the Elephant Seal Viewing areas that are very popular for visitors as well as local residents. Enjoy sampling some of the local award winning wines located close by in the Paso Robles Wine Region or explore the other coastal towns of Cayucos and Morro Bay. We really enjoyed our stay at this adorable property. While we would stay again, I wanted to share some things I think would improve the experience. The backyard is very cute, but there is nowhere to sit, and we would have enjoyed maybe a hot coco by a fire pit or a dinner on the patio. Kitchen was well stocked, the property had lots of towels and everything we needed. I would have enjoyed a larger bed. Both rooms can support a king bed, so that would be nice. Either a really nice mattress topper or a softer mattress would be great as well. Again, we would love to stay here for another visit. Just some feedback for the owners. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

The cottage was charming. We LOVED the upstairs - the sunroom was the perfect place for me to get some work done, plus room to do yoga.The property manager was wonderful and responsive to a minor matter. We enjoyed our 10-day stay, and were reluctant to leave.

The absolute cleanest rental ever! This home was very well appointed with extras we did not expect. The kitchen had plates, silverware, knives, cutting boards, and so much more to use when we cooked meals. The beds were very comfortable. The linens were very nice and extra blankets were available. The fireplace warmed up the living room quickly and was beautiful to watch the flames. Not too many instructions or rules needed. Just right.

This property is very warm and inviting. From the minute you walk in the door you feel welcome and peaceful. This home is in a nice neighborhood and it is quiet. It was very clean and had a very well stocked kitchen, bathrooms, and bedrooms. It is close enough to Fiscalini Ranch Preserve so you can walk. I would definitely stay here again!

Really nice house. Easy checkin, easy checkout. Everything worked great, we appreciated the garage for our bikes and the closeness of the preserve. Extra pillows, sheets and blankets ready for use.Great WIFI for working. Perfect location for Hearst Castle, Elephant Seals. Dinner and bakery in Cambria. This place was spotlessly clean and in a great location. We are walkers and would take off directly from the house. The preserve is about 2 blocks away with endless trails and also the house location is an easy walk to main street Cambria and Moonstone beach. The kitchen has everything you need if you want to do some cooking (we cooked at least one of the two meals/day to save some time and $). The neighborhood is quiet and we met some of the neighbors and they were very friendly. We had great weather the week we were there so out out door time was grand! I would highly recommend Pelican Cottage for a comfortable stay in Cambria.

This was the perfect house for a summer getaway. It was small enough to easliy keep clean & tidy, but with the room upstairs with its own den, bath & patio, made it wonderful when a family member came to visit for a few days. Great location- just a 2 min walk to the Ranch for wonderful walks. 5 min drive to downtown. Very nice quaint property!

The house was well equipped, spacious, and well supplied. Very clean and welcoming. Well located for Fiscalani Preserve and Moonstone. The outdoor spaces (decks, patio) would definitely benefit from some outdoor furniture such as chairs, table, etc. During our stay, the only furniture outside? Two wood chaises, set in the shade, on a deck outside the downstairs bedroom. Otherwise, nothing! The location of the house made a "walk to the beach" very unlikely (it is located at the top of a rather steep hill).

This is our second stay at this cottage. We loved it just as much as the first time! The location is great. It is just a minute or two walk from a nice hike through Fiscalini Ranch Preserve and a very short drive to Moonstone beach. The cottage itself is very cute. It is impeccably clean. It is warm and cozy. It has great spaces for sitting and reading a book with the family. It is tastefully decorated. Most importantly, the kids love it. I look forward to coming back again.

One of the best places we have stayed in our twenty plus years renting vacation houses in Cambria. Only one issue. As my spouse was walking into downstairs bedroom, looking into the room, she did not see that there was a second step, and fell. She wasn’t injured, just shook up; she is 75 and in fine health. All of the carpeting is the same color, and as the step down is shallow, it is easy to not realize the second step is even there. I would suggest something brightly colored on the edge of the floor that leads to the step and on the step itself. Our entire trip was great, and we will surely rent Pelican Cottage again.

The sitting room attached to the upstairs bedroom doesn’t have window coverings so expect to be woken up with the sun, which was fine for us since we were with our 2 year old.
