This 3 bedroom / 2 bathroom condominium sleeps up to 8 people and features an extra room. Located on the 9th floor, you can enjoy the majestic views this property has to offer, the emerald green waters of the Gulf of Mexico all from your private balcony.
The living room is spacious and features a flat screen TV and queen size sofa sleeper and wet bar. There is plenty of space for family gatherings. The dining area has a table that seats up to 6 people with additional seating at the breakfast bar. The fully equipped kitchen features update appliances, granite counter tops and spacious enough to enjoy each other’s company and prepare your family meals.
The master bedroom features a king size bed, TV and en-suite full size bathroom with shower/tub combination. The vanity has a granite counter top and large walk-in closet. From the master bedroom you can access the unit’s private balcony which is the perfect location to enjoy your morning coffee or watch the magnificent Panama City Beach Sunsets.
The guest bedroom will have a queen size bed and TV. The third room will have a twin size bunk bed and TV, the third room does not have a closet, so this is why it is listed as an additional room. This unit is great for families and convenient to all the local attractions.
This beachfront property offers 512 feet of pristine white sand beach on the Gulf of Mexico. Calypso Beach Towers has 2 spectacular swimming pools with a poolside Tiki bar. The gate parking garage offers ample parking space and elevated access to both towers. A fitness center is available at no additional charge. Beach chairs can be rented through beach services setup directly behind the property, the chairs are not included with the rental of this unit.
The property is directly adjacent to Pier Park which features shopping, dining, movie theaters and entertainment. Pier Park and its amphitheater, Aaron Bessant Park are home to several local events held in Panama City Beach such as the Seabreeze Jazz Festival, Pier Park New Year’s Eve Beach Ball Drop, concerts and car shows.
Area attractions include Gulf World Marine Park, Wonderworks, Ripley's Believe it or Not, St. Andrew's State Park, Shell Island, deep sea fishing and several championship golf courses in the area. Local Golf Courses Include Camp Creek Golf Club, Shark's Tooth, Holiday Golf Club and Hombre Golf Club, Bay Point Golf Club. Approximately 15 minutes to Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport, and only 1 mile to Frank Brown Park.
Parking passes are $60 each (max 2 per unit). Eight wristbands are included in your reservation. If any wristbands are not returned, there will be a charge of $75 per wristband.

I will start with the positive: The view was superb and check-in was very easy. While our experience was good, this unit could use some TLC. The living room furniture is incredibly worn (squeaks a lot when sitting). One evening as I was sitting on the love seat, I felt something poke my leg several times. I kept trying to get ahold of what was poking me. When I finally did (thinking it was stuffing from the couch, etc), I pulled out an entire sewing needle from the couch cushion. During our stays we tend to cook a lot, and while the set up of the kitchen was up to date and nice, a large cooking pot and can opener were needed. Also, the majority of beach chairs located inside the unit were broken and unusable. I don’t doubt this unit sees a lot of volume and things become worn pretty quickly. Overall we had a really good time.

Great location, especially for New Year's Eve festivities. The unit needs some TLC and minor repairs which we communicated to the management. We were contacted by a maintenance person, but with the holiday schedule, understandably fixes couldn't be immediately addressed.

We have stayed in the Calypso 2 other times at different condos. This condo is on the lower side as far as condition, but the price and location are great.
Plan to bring some lawn chairs if you want to enjoy the view from the balcony. There is only one chair outside and it is broken.
Also, there was only 1 hand towel for the kitchen, so you'll need to bring/buy additional dishcloths to do dishes and wipe the counters, etc.
Overall, we got what we expected after reading previous reviews. As mentioned, the furniture is pretty outdated and somewhat stained, etc. But it was still comfortable to sit on.
If you want to be close to Pier Park and the beach without spending a ton of money, this place is perfect. If you're wanting something shiny and new, you should probably keep looking.

Location was great, cleanliness was an issue. Not sure that the cleaning company is holding the standard for the huge cleaning fee. Sinks not cleaned, master toilet not cleaned, master shower not cleaned, all dishes in cupboards were dirty and floors were filthy throughout.
