Skipjack Cottage - Ideal for Families or Groups - 5 Houses from Beach!

Skipjack Cottage is the perfect blend of an updated beach house and the nostalgia that makes Tybee unique! This vintage (circa 1929) raised southern-style beach house has it all, including hardwood floors, original wood paneling and wood ceilings. all of which have been beautifully preserved and restored. Of course, much of the house has been updated to afford its occupants the luxuries of today, such as stainless steel appliances, comfortable beds and flat screen TVs.

Up the stairs on the front of the house, the outside features a wonderful, expansive front porch with comfortable furniture and porch swing for reliving the events of the day! There's also a large screened side porch with lots of comfortable outdoor furniture and table and chairs for dining al fresco!

The kitchen has beautiful glass front cabinets and all of the modern amenities needed including your very own icemaker! Stainless steel appliances and granite countertops give you all the modern conveniences in a beautiful, historic beach cottage!

The living area features a flat screen TV, fireplace and lots of very comfortable furnishings. The open floor plan lends itself to large groups making the most of their time together.

There are 3 full bedrooms on the upper level all with queen beds. Additonally, upstairs has one full bath (with claw foot tub and shower) and an additional half bath.

Heading down to the “street” level, there is a very large open area which stores beach chairs, umbrellas and pretty much everything else you need for a day at the beach!

There is also a lighted pathway leading to the outdoor shower! It is covered on top and sides with beautiful foliage and makes for a private, romantic setting. You have to see it to appreciate it!

At street level, there are 2 additional bedrooms and another bath. One of these bedrooms features a double bed and the other has a daybed with trundle (two twin beds). The laundry room completes the ground level with a new washer and dryer!

PLEASE NOTE: There is no direct access or stairs to the ground (street) level bedrooms/bathroom and laundry room from inside the house. You have to go outside and down the outside stairs to access these street level rooms. Please let us know if you have any questions.

You will love how close you are to the beach. Walking down 13th Lane, you are just 5 houses from the beach (an easy walk to the private beach access). So, its just a short walk to the sun, the sand and the beautiful ocean! In the other direction, you are another short walk from some of Tybee's restaurants. The location simply cannot be beat!
